I did everything and it was looking good until the last few lines before the final reboot. SU was installed but this is what I got "there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it". Someone please help me.
I am having the same issue. When I try running File Explorer or TBU I get the error message "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU can not install it. This is a problem!" then the application exits. Anyone have any ideas?

Very frustrated and in the process of re-rooting for the 10th time I forgot to set the storage to MTP and left it at USB Mass Storage. May be I got lucky but it started working after I ran the root program in USB Mass Storage. :-D

I followed the guide here and have root. YAY!!! I have SuperSU and my Titanium Backup is working great. My question is: Is it OK now to install SS3 on JB?
Is it compatible with the JB update?Everything is working great and I thought with SS3 I could preserve it , just in case.

I installed the JB update from stock ICS .211. I preserved root with OTA rootkeeper. After I flashed and booted to JB, rootkeeper couldn't restore root but it said it did.

Yep, just DL 3.11, copy the apk to the SD card, Make sure you have unknown sources check on, and open files, click and install SS3.11.apk then open Safe Strap app, Active it, reboot and see if its running on boot..

My GF asked if I could Root her Motoroloa Razr Maxx. I tried a few methods and they fail to install when I run the script. For some reason her phone automatically goes into MASS STORAGE mode when I plug in USB. I suspect this may be causing the files to install.
Any suggestions on how to get around this? I did a few web searches and found that Motorola removed the Charge Only Option a while back. Appreciate any help.

We seem to have a bigger issue. My GF's phone is a Motorola Razr Maxx, She is running Android version 4.0.4, System version 6.16.211.xt912verizon.en.us. So she is on Ice Cream rather than the Jelly Bean OS. We just called Verizon and they claim that the OTA will come from Motorola, not them.

Make sure you figure out how to root before you install JB, and how to preserve your root when you upgrade to JB, so you do not need to use the root path here. (This method seems to be beyond your skills).
If you do end up upgrading without root, I am sure many on this forum will jump in to help.

Do you have more then one device plugged into your computer while running it? Also make sure nothing else is using adb at the time you run it.
