eselgas you appear to be running the batch file without first extracting the entire zip file.

Need to follow directions to the letter.

except I did. I did extract the whole zip and ran it. Should I try running the bat as admin prvi in Win 7? Am I missing the ROM? Should the file I am running from djbliss also install the JB ROM? Like I said I am a noob to rooting, please bear with my stupid questions.

Yes, sorry. I assumed you were doing that. It won't work otherwise.

jcarlosfox okay I have done all that, still no JB. You may have got to my question before seeing my edit. Do I need to download the ROM separately or should it have come with the ZIP? I have SafeStrap installed and I ran the exploit w/ Admin priv already. I am still getting the same output I put before.

What version of Safestrap did you install?

When you boot, do you get the Safestrap menu? (If so, you are rooted.)

Have you installed Voodoo? What result?

My knowledge is limited, but I am sure the answer is here. If you read this thread the next step is likely a factory reset, DO NOT allow Smart Actions to update, and run the exploit again.

Checking all that now. I know that SS is 3.0.5. Haven't installed Voodoo, where do I get it? I know for sure I have Smart Actions set up correctly.

Then you are looking at the wrong root solution. This is for JB.

Make sure you are on JB.

Find the rule it wants you to use.

Change something.

Save it.

Change it back.

Save it.

Follow the rest of the instructions. It is what I did. It worked the second time I tried it.

I only got up to page four by the time I solved this, but I actually had to update Smart Actions, and then go back and uninstall all updates for this all to work. Sounds odd, but I hope it can help someone!

Thanks for letting people know =]

It might be a good idea to add this to the OP, or at least the version of the most current of Smart Actions :-)

It is right in the instructions in the OP, and the following is in the output in the most recent question:

] Note: this will not work on RAZR HD, Razr M, etc.

Why is it easier to post to a forum than to read the instructions and the output on the screen?

Not sure if we are helping people with reading compression or their phones! :-)
