I cant seem to get it to boot.  Followed all instructions to the letter and it wont boot.  Rom slot 2, ss3.11, but is this only for the leak kernel? or will it not work with the OTA?

It contains its own kernel from dhacker so it shouldn't matter what your stock system is. Just try to wipe and reflash. If you don't have WiFi on first boot, wipe cache and fix permission then reboot

OMG THANK YOU.. GSM DATA NOW WORKING  AND IT EVEN FIXED MY SIGNAL ISSUES WITH JB ... but i noticed i do not have camera now?? and the one from the lock screen says cant connect to camera  .how can i fix that?

 
I noticed that, too

- No GSM patch and you have camera (but no gsm network)

- If you put the GSM patch disappearing option camera (and appear network)

I think that patch is not done or is not suitable for this ROM (AOKP)

can anyone help us?

Has anyone had any problems with Dev-Host? Specifically, I can't get the gapps for AOKP to download for whatever reason.

On a positive note, Aviator blur works well outside of the U.S! I just put in a local sim card, booted and had the cell network person add in the VPN for data

Thank you for the advice. Why is it not recommended to restore data? How does one get the data back then?

Data can be stored/used differently for each ROM. Aviator Blur is based on the stock ROM, so it's not likely a problem. Always have an 'out' when restoring data to a different ROM. Mostly, It's not much an issue unless you have game data or lots of settings involved.

I'm getting some random reboots, but more importantly: randomly sometimes the external sd card doesn't get mounted when the phone boots. Might get fixed with multiple reboots, or otherwise requires me to re-flash. Any thoughts?

Its unlocked from the factory for the XT912 international use (outside of the U.S.) No GSM patch or anything was needed. I didn't try AOKP since I didn't have time to write down the VPN for the network to try it out. It should work fine, but I might try it when I get to Australia.

Have you looked through the network settings? MMS should be working so there might be something amiss somewhere. I'm pretty sure some other people mentioned this problem earlier in the thread so it might be worth reading a few pages back to see if you can find a fix

Question: if my radio is unable to connect, does that mean I have to delete rom slot and reflash?

Blur version. Aokp version 4g works no problem.

Solved.  I erased rom slot 2 and created another one.  Wiped all... installed blur version aviator and then wiped cashe and davik cashe.  Works.  Very nice rom.

 

Think I am hooked on the AOKP ability to swap my sdcard ... am getting a fast card so I can make this happen for my DD.

You can put a new boot animation in data/local if you like. That's probably the easiest

I don't have sound on my boot screen with the Blue Angel soaring. I like the animation, different and the Blue Angels are awesome!
