I just updated Aviator AOKP to v1.0.2. The only change is with the MMS.apk. It wasn't sending MMS before, but now it's fixed!

Really enjoying this ROM! Great work! I have one question or issue. Any ideas about why I can only send MMS when I'm not connected to wifi? MMS works fine when wifi is turned off. Really looking forward to future updates and to see where this ROM is headed. Thanks!!

Others have this issue with other roms as well. MMS uses your cellular connection and for some reason when the 2 are both on, the wifi seems to take control. Havent seen a fix yet....

I have tried searching, but can't come up with much...Prefer to use stock messaging. Not a fan of market sms apps..

For me " 1% battery " doesn't work .same for both rom... There is something to do with my phones kernel to get it work?

What phone do you have? XT912?

 

The 1% is coded in a .jar file as part of the framework. It gets flashed with the ROM. Are you using stock battery icons?

ZK007, You should have started a new thread for the new rom, so not to confuse some peeps. You do great work though!

i'm using circleMOD (which is in your rom) didn't flash any other things ... 

 

also i'm gettin this error "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped"  when i recieve calls

Did you delete the ROM slot and start with a new one? Those errors should definitely not happen.

Hey guys,

If you're running AOKP and notice a large battery drain (15-20% in my experience) overnight, try turning WiFi off before you go to bed. This actually improved my overnight battery drain to normal values (about 1% per hour).

Let me know if you experience the same thing.

yes...  i'll reinstall rom now to see if problems will appear again ..

 

 

BTW battery life is definitly  better  , but WTF is this 

 

 

i used to call maximum 10 minutes ... and didn't recieved any call because of the problem

If you needed a GSM patch, then you do not have an XT912. Perhaps you have an XT910? In that case, then yes, all your problems make sense without the GSM patch

NO , i have Verizon XT912 , Razr Maxx. but i'm using it outside of USA,  on GSM carrier . 

 

stock rom worked for me well  with gsm carrier

Well, I believe the XT912 can run GSM outside of the U.S. without any mods or patches. In all honesty, I am not sure how your issues developed, but if you have a working phone now, then that is all that matters

but i really got improvement after installing that patch , i got 4-5 row signal after installing , before it was max 1 , or i even lost signal ....

yes, it's working well on stock rom , but on AOKP.... i already wrote

thats interesting regarding the patch jk since thats not what it was intended for. As you already know the 912 is global ready.

yep , that's really interesting . i really want something to use it on my carrier , and i also don't want to break camera and screen brigtness
