ROM Toolbox

Ive heard ROM ToolBox is quite good. I say why not, give it a shot! Whats the worst that can happen? A little re-flashing of a ROM never hurt anyone ;)

By far one of the snappiest ROM I've used since switching to the JB leak. Not to mention the best battery life I've been able to squeeze out. Best combo I've found so far is pegasusq with noop, still playing around with it though. Getting through a normal day of use and then some (about 15 hours with moderate to heavy). And huge props on the flying sunset theme, making me reminisce about liberty days on my droid X and I'm loving it! I've been looking at that ICS blue / honeycomb glow forever and I am way past over the blueness.

Thanks again for my DD man, sending some beer you way in a few

2days, 16hours and 28% to go..... low to moderate use.....and I use Tasker to do alot of stuff including turning off all radios at night, etc.

But agreed, some of the best battery life and good performance too

And that's what I'm doing now. Ac!d versions didn't work out so well. Going to try the Rom Toolbox route after I get done reflashing ROM and do the Audio Effects backup and removal then try beats installer again...

How did you get on? Did you find a fix that worked?

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't know where to begin in adding addition languages. :P

Nope, Never accomplished. Beats still force closes with Google Play Music and when I can get into the beats settings, it makes no difference to the audio output :(

OK, well I got permission to use AC!D audio so that will be built into the next build and will hopefully work a lot better :)

I wasn't aware Beats wasn't working?? It works fine for me, but when you use equalizer settings and do the skip track with the volume key, the volume goes to full. I am aware of that issue :P but if you don't use the volume key to skip tracks then it should work OK.

So is beats working on stock (ie don't mess with it)?

So I have no idea what is going on but my fix has stopped working randomly! It seemed to be working after uninstalling the stock Audio Effects system app and installing beats driver, but I unplugged my phone this morning and went to Google Play Music. Opening the equalizer settings still brings me to Beats Control and it allows me to change values, but upon actually pressing the "Play" button, it says "Unfortunately, Beats Control has stopped."

Before not only did Beats Control panel actually worked but for me it was actually changing the audio output as well!

I dont know whats happened here but I suppose I can just remove the Beats Control system app after a fresh Aviator Flash and just use the stock, built in Audio Effects for now while a solution is developed.

Still the best ROM on here, and ZKK007, your donation will be there as soon as I can actually get around to it lol.

Can you please provide more details? Did it just randomly stop working? Did it ever work? Have you tried a 3rd party messaging app (like handcent)?

Just a side note, v2.0.1 has a lot better battery and performance than 2.0.0. Just thought I'd mention it just in case you are thinking of re flashing :)

Since third party apps aren't working, I am thinking that it may have been a bad flash or something. I would suggest re flashing and once you have booted, go back and wipe cache and D cache as well as fix permissions. Or you can pull the messaging.apk from 1.0.8 and install that to see if that fixes it. (Its not the AOSP app, but it might work for you) :)

Free Beer headed your way! Thanks for all of your hard work!

By the way, still no luck with overclocking profiles. It still resets to stock 1200MHz everytime, but it seems this is not the only ROM with this problem. JellyWiz, Fuzion, and I cant quite remember which was the last one, all had overclocking issues where the values simply reset...

Well thank you very much! I always enjoy free beer! :D

Ok, thanks for the feedback, I'll look into it more. I only overclock to test the scripts, but I normally return it to stock within a few hours since I personally don't need to OC :P

I'm building a build now with AC!D audio so hopefully that will make music much better :)

Well the only reason I overclock is to run high-end games such as Dead Trigger [Highest Graphics Setting] as smoothly as possible as well as have apps start faster and the overall UI experience be smoother and faster.

Besides, Ive got a Razr MAXX and I charge it every night while I'm asleep. Gotta find someway to actually use all 3300 mAh of that MAXX battery in an average day ;)

On ICS I was stable while overclocked to 1375 MHz on stock Interactive Governor! Man this thing was quick and benchmarked into the sky, but became extremely hot and way too quicky while gaming and I felt it was too risky. I figure 1250 MHz - 1325 MHz would be the ideal top frequency in a MAXX.

So I love your choices, but they dont stick, what I am finding is:
- Under NoFrills CPU Control, after applying and making sure "Apply On Boot" is checked, it will say it was a success and SuperUser Permissions successfully grant it access.
- If the phone is used or idles for 10-15 minutes, and you go back to NoFrills, it will say 1325 in the requested box but the current will reset to 1200. Doesnt matter which Governor you choose.
- After Reboot, SuperUser grants NoFrills its access and says application on boot was a success, but you go into NoFrills and it will say the current is again 1200 max.

I kinda wonder if a permissions fix would solve this, but have no idea when to do it (before using utility to install overclocking? After? Before Applying Values? After?)

I also wondered if using SuperSU instead is safe. Ive always preffered SuperSU because its automatic Grant Permissions feature actually works and makes working on a ROM 10 times easier. I installed Super SU and then used Motomizer to remove SuperUser.apk and it seems to be working, but maybe this is my problem? The Binary did update so I doubt its SuperSU, but it is a possibility.
