Man, that's frustrating! I'm sorry you're having all these issues with it. It should flash straight on top without any issues. I've done it probably about 5 times over the past 3 days when I was testing builds and never got a hang on the boot animation. I'm sorry to say this, but if it didn't work on 2.0.0, I don't think it will work on 2.0.1 because I didn't change anything with the apps. This update is all script updates (along with the required files in xbin, etc). But give it a go and you can always go back with the theme uninstaller if it doesn't work.

Yea its strange indeed as I believe PF gave me no issue back on 1.0.8 but ever since it's been a nightmare. I can live without it becuase otherwise, your base ROM has been top notch for me. Looking forward to loading 2.0.1 as I also noticed a bit more battery drain on 2.0.0 although not as severe as others have reported. If dirty flash gives me issue, I'll start over once again from scratch.

PS: what's the ETA on the 2.0.1 utility being avail for download?

Many thanks!

v2.0.1 "F18 Edition" is up! :D

Change log: v2.0.1 - F18 Edition
Added back in reworked init.d scripts - Battery life now comparable to v1.0.8.
Added in script base files (in xbin, etc.)
Wifi hack backed in.
Small edits to the build.prop.
Updated Aviator Utility to include option for no toggles + simple battery
Updated GSM Patch.

We should see battery life like we had on 1.0.8 before things got a little crazy :P If you have been following, you'll know what I mean.

This is the test file I put up here yesterday with minor changes to the build.prop (changed OTA numbers and build number to 2.0.1) If you are running the test build, all you have to do in order to be the same as the update is:
  • Go to /system/build.prop in ES File Explorer and open it with the ES text editor.
  • Change Line 4 from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1.
  • Scroll to the bottom and find "#OTA Updater"
  • Make the following 4 lines look like this:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

  • Save and reboot.
An OTA notification will be sent out shortly for those of you who use that service :)

All the themes will work without any changes being made. As you can see with the change log, the apks have not been changed at all, so it should flash ok (I have tested all of them myself and they all worked)

The utility now has the option to have no quicksetting toggles with the simple battery icon. This can be found under the "Battery Icon" options.

Enjoy! :)

the battery life is definitely back to normal. I've been getting great performance all day. Thanks so much for the quick response and for accommodating specific requests I will definitely use the new utility. Awesome work

I'm sorry, but I don't use the bookmarks with my phone :P What browser are you using? Chrome or stock? Perhaps someone else might have some ideas for you :)

Using stock browser. Updated to F18 with the same results. I've had that happen every now and then with other ROMs too. Thanks any way, maybe someone out there can help.

That's not an F-18 in your screenshot! I refuse to update to this edition until you get that POS SU27 off of there ;-)

The vertical tails, underwing pylon layout, and the angle of the intakes are all su27. Impossible that is a super hornet. Im not being argumentative at all, I am just having fun and pretty certain that I am correct lol

I was just curious :) I did question the intakes, but I trusted the up loader of the picture :P Perhaps next time I will get it right! :D

One oddity on the utility. I just used it (for the very first time) to change the battery icon w/o quick toggles. It worked, but it changed my wallpaper to the SU27 wallpaper. Obviously that's easy enough to change back, but it was a bit of a surprise to see.

Yes, it is surprising but I have also seen this, and I cannot explain why the systemUI changes the wallpaper :P

Whenever I use beats audio the sound pretty much blows up my headphones/ when the song changes. Had the same issue on 2.0, the update zip, and 2.1
Anyone else got something similar going on?

Do you mean that the volume goes to full when you skip tracks? I just tried it and I see what you mean. I'll look into it and see if I can find out what is going on :)

Edit: I think it's a Beats issue since when I turn Beats off it doesn't increase the volume when I skip the track. Did you have this issue on any of the 1.x.x versions of this ROM?

It is Beats. I have had this on other ROMS. It scares the hell out of you when it happens. Most other Roms seam to have ditched Beats.
