Update OP to reflect v1.0.3. This update includes a few small performance and battery tweaks. The biggest change is the addition of OTA Updater. This will enable you to receive updates directly to your device! Enjoy!

I had JUST loaded this ROM and got a message, so the stock notification sounded. My wife says 'why do I feel like I need to fasten my seatbelts and put my tray table in it's upright and locked position?'. I said 'yeah, it does kind of sound like an airplane doesn't it'.
Then it occurred to me 'Aviator', duh. Nice notification sound, I'm keeping it. The ringtone isn't 'me', but I appreciate it all the same.
Nice touch!

Edit: of course I downloaded it this morning and just now got around to flashing it, and I see you're already a version up on me - I gotta crack flash faster...

Haha, I'm glad you like it! Of course you can change them, I just put them in there to give that aviator feeling I didn't really expect anyone to keep them I know, two updates in two days. I didn't mean too, but I just figured out how to do OTA updating and wanted everyone to have it, especially those who would download it for the first time

I would recommend it. I always do; however in saying that, I have never tried flashing straight on top. It will overwrite the existing files so I'm sure you would lose your data anyway. If you do a dirty flash and it keeps data, let us know

... bugger... I guess I forgot to make sure it installed... sorry. It's in /data but it won't install. Let me work on it.

Its a signature issue. I'll put up a link to download gtalk in the op in a minute or two. This one is signed by me and installs. I tried to use the one with original signatures so it could be updated but I guess it didn't like it

Just didn't save home screen set up. everything seems to beworking just fine. And I fully understand "no wipe, no gripe." Not recommending it, just sharing results.......

That requires a lot of Smali edits which I'm still trying to get me head around fully. Do you know if the toggles you want were on ICS? Perhaps I can look at porting them over

Thanks for sharing, at least we know its possible to have a good outcome, but like you say and to those reading this, we don't recommend it
