In the settings of the messaging app you can turn off "transform long text messages into mms" this will allow you to send long text messages.

If you want the blur messaging app then you can pull it from a previous build if you have it, or if you don't, let me know and I will PM it to you

Once you install the messaging.apk you will need to remove the ASOP Mms.apk (Or freeze it) otherwise you will receive duplicates of every text message you receive Also, be aware that the lock screen may not pick up the blur text message app.

ZKK, is MMS something that will be available in a later version or is it not available at all with the ASOP messenger. Also I can't seem to get my contact photos to sync into the ASOP messenger, they are in my contact list perfect but wont show up in messenger. note: All my contact photos are synced from facebook if that makes a difference.

I don't think it is currently available, but I am keeping an eye out for a fix. In the meantime you can email pictures which will make them better quality too since they will not need to be re sized. If it's long sms messages that are bugging you, then you can turn off "transform long text messages into mms" under the settings and you should be good to go

As for the contact photos not showing, do they come up normally in the contacts app? I personally don't sync facebook with my phone so I'm not sure what the issue may be. I will look into it more tomorrow and go through the app to find out where it gets its images from.

I am reading in other places that it could be facebook that is responsible for the pics not syncing. I am going to try to take a pic and attach to a contact and see if it will sync that one.

Likewise I've seen stellar battery life on my Maxx. No ROM has ever matched the battery life I've been getting, even when I've used Maps navigation and/or been without wifi access and anywhere from barely any coverage to 4G. Overall been getting about 60% additional battery life for my type of coverage, usage patterns, screen brightness settings et al.

Can you use 3rd party MMS like Go or Handcent to send MMS while on this rom instead of pulling the apk from the last build? I've never used those before so I wasn't sure. I've always just used what's in the roms.

You hinted at an update coming soon?? I would like to try that the update. My phone just doesn't want to work with 1.09. It stays in boot up forever, up to 30 minutes before I gave up or I after I use the phone it shuts off and won't turn back on until I connect power. I can be at 89% but is shuts off. I have tried everything ever said: Delete ROM slot, tried wiping after install and fix permissions, tried diffenent slot. Just gave up. I would like to run the Top Gun theme though. I liked it when I had 1.07. Maybe add Top gun to next update? Sorry for leaving (hopefully temperarily).

I'm sure you can use 3rd party text messaging apps with no problems at all. The only issue I can see is if you remove Mms.apk then the lockscreen may not pick up the new app; therefore you wont have any text messaging app on the lockscreen.

Sorry you had those issues. I know it can be frustrating especially when flashing can almost be a hit and miss if it flashes correctly. The next update will be out soon (maybe sooner than expected, just running a test build now). I've reworked the tweaks and have noticed a slight battery performance increase. I'm updating busybox, debloating a bit more, and a few other things just to make it a bit lighter and hopefully smoother.

Oh, and all the current themes will work with the next update without any changes being made to them

Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work on this ROM. I was using Jellywiz before this (which is also good), but Aviator seems much smoother to me, despite not being overclocked. I'm just using the default cpu/governor settings in Aviator, and it's been running great. I'm on 1.0.8 right now, but will definitely try out the next version when it's ready.

Cool, that's exactly what I was going to do, use the regular mms for all texts and just use the 3rd party to send pics and videos when needed.

FYI: I tweaked v1.0.9 by removing MMS.apk and dropping in Messaging.apk, and a few other minor tweaks I've since forgot, before I flashed it clean (new slot). Lockscreen picks up Messaging just fine, tho that may not apply to 3rd party apps.

I just realized a small, but important mistake in some of my scripts that made them not run correctly. The next update is looking very good at this point since I realized my mistake (I was rushing things, serves me right )

Just trying to fix a few small issues that have appeared before I put out the next update. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, or in the worst case, it may be Monday. I'll keep you all informed

Updated OP to v1.1.0 - B2 Edition!

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS!

If you are on v1.0.9 I do have an update.zip you can flash right on top of v1.0.9. The only difference is you will not have the new wallpaper (Download link in the OP) and you will still have Backup Assistant Plus. The zip is small as the major changes in this update are script changes.

Also, please note that I have removed the utility for now. The old overclock scripts are not working so I have to rework them. I'll let you all know when I've got it up, but it may not be today
