Battery icon change worked fine.

Overclocking script install got the same Read-Only error I posted on the last page of the thread.

I manually copied the file & changed permissions.

Are you root approved for R/W of system? Bad question, but go to ES file explorer>settings>root>R/W and make sure all of them are R/W.

I can't find that setting, but if I was able to push the Simple Battery mod AOK via the Utility, wouldn't that mean it was R/W?

 

I'm going to have a beer and look again later

 

Regardless, I'm loving 3.0.9 so far. Snappiest my phone's been in awhile!

Well two of the options are read only. One of them might have something to do with it. Try it when you get a chance

ok, I looked with Root Explorer and the System folder was R/O with the option to switch to R/W  :

 

what I still don't understand is how the Simple Battery mod was installed fine since that writes to /system/app which also was R/O

Only issue I seem to be having on 3.0.9 has to do with the audio.  It cuts on on apps like YouTube or even music player.  Also, sometimes I can't hear when someone calls and I have to put it on speakerphone to hear them.

 

Anyone having issues like this and have any ideas how to fix?

What do you mean by the audio cuts? I listen to music with Apollo for a good few hours yesterday and didn't experience any issues.

As for not hearing people, there are 10 volume steps (7 is stock) so make sure that is turned up. Otherwise, perhaps its a network thing?

Just a note, Aviator KitKat CM11 is out! CM11 is still new, but dhacker has done some great work in making CM11 a daily driver right out of the gates!

I used safestrap 3.11 and it
Was a clean flash. The widget works fine so I am just ignoring the fact I can't bring up settings from settings. I have like 8-10 games on that rom that the kids play and it is running so much better than 3.03. Thanks zk for all that you do!!!

ZK, i never tried to run the blacked out gapps and misc apk package...didn't seem worth it really.

 

I do have an issue though, if you're getting bored.....I can't seem to dirty flash from .8 to .9   maybe I just need to flash fresh?

That sounds right since I used the 4.2 keyboard. You'll need to download the apk and delete the old one with tibu

If I understand this correctly there is no way that a locked bootloader running safestrap can use this correct?

Im using my device mainly for my children and the games they play. I am experiencing some bad issues on the "minion" game. It worked fine for about a week now I get the lag of death on there. The other games seem much more laggy as well. Since I flashed the rom I have only put about 4-5 games on it. Still have plenty of memory, so whats the problem? Next question, what realistically is the best rom to be running for games and such, that require alot of processing? i dont care about the rest of the stuff just something good for games.
