Is it me or does the beats audio do absolutely nothing? Settings change nothing.

I went back to the equalizer i used off of play, but now it sounds weird.

Regardless, beats audio does nothing....

Depends on the music player used.  I use android music player.  Don't use one that has equalizer controls because beats won't work with it and of course you did adjust beats settings?

Two weeks in: STILL LOVE THIS ROM. As much as I want to go back to having 4.3, it just seems like this rom (and 4.1) fits our phones better.

General Question:

What CPU settings does everybody have set? I guess this is more of a poll with a "why?"

I just leave it as stock, but it largely depends on what you want to use your phone for. You can use the utility to overclock, but that increases battery usage. Or you can modify one of the scripts in the utility to underclock. The stock scripts are undervolted slightly to improve battery performance, so I wouldn't mess too much with them unless you want to push it :p

Some people like a 1250mhz high and a 250mhz low. My advice would be not to go too low on the low value because that means it takes longer to do tasks when asleep which can increase your battery usage and do the opposite if what you intended :p

Forum Newb here.

Let me preface this post by stating:  This was the first time I rooted my phone (xt912) but I've rooted my Droid X before this phone many times.  So I'm not necessarily new to rooting.  But I do have a question.

I've installed this ROM with SS vers. 3.63 and everything went without a hitch!  So far, I love the ROM!  Very smooth and responsive.  Great job Dev!!!!

But I was wondering what I can get for swype?  I love that keyboard and am missing it's option in this ROM.  Any current issues with installing the Swype Keyboard off of the Play Store?  I've looked for any incompatibilities and have not come across anything.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.  I installed the Swype App and it is actually really nice!  Working just fine (so far).  I was nervous as I didn't want to screw around with the ROM so shortly after getting back into the modding game with this phone.  I enjoy the added capability that SS provides as I am used to using bootstrap and going back and forth when installations and it just makes it much more user friendly.

Still messing around with the Apex settings but I just received an email and immediately had a female robot yelling out the personal email at the cube farm i'm currently in, so I gotta find that setting and change that out....

Otherwise, amazing ROM.  I love it!

another question.

My phone keeps speaking out loud anything I open that is either an email or certain webpages that I am looking at.  How the heck do I stop this from happening?  I've looked in all app specific settings and phone settings and cannot find anything to deselect.

Any help is appreciated.

Is there any way to turn off Light Flow from running or to remove the ongoing notification completely?  Aside from that I really like this rom...

Could you tell me what the stock CPU is? I did fool around with it and the phone was super quick, but I want to play around with it on stock. I currently have it set at:

Max: 800

Min 300

Gov: Interactive

I/O: sio

never used it, but it sounds like Talkback?

go to Settings -> Accessibility (near the bottom of the list)

Talkback is the top option. if it's on, probably the culprit

Thank you.  I unchecked it before but it was still talking to me.  I rebooted my phone and will see if it continues.  Early tests show that it is now off.

Weird but maybe a small glitch on my part.  Otherwise, LOVE THIS ROM!

Does anybody else experience a problem where when you're getting a phone call, sometimes it takes about 4-5 seconds for the actual "answer" screen to pop up? Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting too long to answer the phone :/. Maybe it has something to do with my governor or cpu settings?

Yea i am having the same problem, can take a while to to answer a call, can be frustrating, you try and slide to answer and nothing happens.

Does the screen turn on? There is a tweak in there which speeds up the ringtone for phone calls. I guess the phone is lagging behind :p I can remove the tweak in the next update :)

Any reason why 3.0.6 would be having higher battery use?

love the ROM but i'm getting a couple issues:

1. Today it just randomly stopped getting signal.... it was fine made a few calls, sent/recieved some texts then nothing..... rebooted, tried airplane mode then back. nothing. switch roms and i'm rocking 4G on another rom. go back still nothing.... on bootup it tries to get signal (goes three bars) then drops.

2.when getting a call i try and swipe to answer and it won't go as if its its frozen.

3.battery life on 300min 1000 max is barely 20 hours with bare min running. other ROM i get 2-3 days same setup (apps. etc.)

I did a full wipe when i went to 3.0.7 FYI....

For number 1 I would say to delete the slot (at a minimum, but preferably also uninstalling safe strap, reboot and wiping sd cards than. Install safe strap) than create a new slot and try again.

For 2 and 3, idk what the deal is since you have the same setup with such drastic difference in results
