• Transfer ROM zip file to SD card.
• Reboot into SafeStrap (3.07, 3.11 or 3.6x)
• Activate a different ROM slot or Stock slot.
• Delete the ROM slot you want to use.
• Recreate the ROM slot with desired slot size.
• Install Aviator ROM file.
• Reboot after installation.
• Setup phone.
• Go into Settings>CPU Sleeper. Check "Enable auto-start on reboot" (First Line), then "Start Service"(Second Line) (Press twice).
• Let phone settle for 5-10 minutes then reboot for best results.
• Charge to 100% for battery calibration or use battery calibration app from Play Store.
• Enjoy!

(If you are updating Safestrap from 3.11 to 3.6x, you MUST delete the Safestrap folder on your internal SD before you reboot into Safestrap 3.6x for the first time. If you do not manually delete the folder, when you reboot you will get no data and text messaging will force close.)

These are basic color themes which changes only the framework. Do not use the computer utility to remove toggles or install the simple battery. You can still use the overclock function of the utility.

This ROM has OTA Updater installed. When an update is available, you will get a notification. You will then download the update using the app. Once downloaded, you will have to manually reboot into safe strap. The download location is sdcard/OTA-updater/Download/[filename].zip

Using this utility you can remove or reinstall the quicksetting toggles, change the battery icon to a simple % icon, install the stock or inverted calendar, or overclocking!

FOR OVERCLOCKING: you will NEED SManager (free) and setCPU (PAID) ALSO You will need to install the modules using the utility. (Option 1 under overclocking menu).

 

Also, make sure your /system is R/W. Go into ES File explorer>settings>Root Explorer>Mount R/W and make sure all option are R/W.

Instructions:

• Save the above images as "background-safe.png" and "background-nonsafe.png". Make sure they are 540x960..
• Save to ext SD card.
• Reboot into Stock ROM.
• Use a root explorer (ES File Explorer, etc) and navigate to the pictures. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE R/W PERMISSIONS (Menu>root explorer>mount R/W).
• Press and hold on the pictures, and copy the pictures.
• Navigate to /system/etc/safestrap/res.
• Paste and overwrite the existing files (Make a copy of the originals if you wish).
• Reboot and profit!

This ROM is stable, quick, smooth, and amazing on battery. It gets even better with a day or two to settle in. On top of that, I think it's probably got the coolest boot animation ever. Haha. Thanks for letting me test, and thanks for developing. I look forward to seeing more. :-)

i saw this on a friends phone the other day before I flashed JB on it. Seems as if the superuser binaries disappeared. This guy liked to pack his phone with malware though. Didn't matter since i wiped the phone clean for JB anyway.

Found a small issue

Google now won't update... says not signed correctly. I was able to uninstall and swap with a copy from the ota file..

Not a biggie but the only issue I have found in a few days lol

To fix Google Now, this usually works on the other ROM's.

Uninstall or delete Google Search in an app like TiBu or a file manager, reboot to recovery, wipe cache and Dalvic, reboot, install from Play Store.
