I have found the issue in Motorola's forums here: and it seems that it is a known issue and Verizon Tech Support says it is a known issue.
Motorola Tech Support wants me to send the phone in for repair (under warranty).
Has anyone been able to solve this issue? Will sending it in for repair help? I don't want to jump through Motorola hoops and only end up back at square one.
Thanks,
Chris

a phone self-reboot is typically due to a kernel panic (sometimes due to OOM situations). this is low level stuff as the motorola forum post indicates- have you tried using a bluetooth tether to another device and seeing if it crashes as well? that would isolate the problem to the streaming protocol at least.

this occurs on stock ICS 246 as well? if so, that might be hardware/driver. most ROMs are CM or AOKP based and have known bluetooth issues.

Yes, this occurs on the ICS 246 OTA as well.
I have not tried the tether as you asked. I'll connect it tomorrow so I can have some extended time connected.

I have been tethered to my laptop for over 1.5 hours now without issue. I usually get the forced reboot within 30 minutes.
You may have something there with the streaming.
Are there any custom kernels out there that may provide a solution?
Thanks,
CD
