You guys need to check out this app, it decreases universal lag and it's DEFINITELY noticeable... Found the Article on Droid Life and running it stock + rooted on JB kernel. Give it a shot!!

"Say goodbye to lag, forever! (ROOT USERS ONLY)

Many Android tasks run much slower than they should for one simple, but not-so-obvious reason: they read random data from a limited "blocking" random device. Random data is used to generate session keys and UUIDs, in SSL, and frequently during inter-process communication.

This data (entropy) runs out frequently, and that causes any process reading from the blocking device to stop responding (lag). These processes cannot continue until the Linux kernel repopulates the entropy pool, which takes time.

Seeder is a a service for root users. It assists the kernel in "topping off" the entropy pool by seeding it with fresh data from the non-blocking (high performance) random data source.

Many applications load significantly faster (particularly large ones like Facebook, Chrome, and Youtube), and task switching becomes effortless. Never again will you wait in frustration, as the home screen slowly redraws its icons and widgets after pressing the home button on a busy device.

You MUST be running a rooted device to use this application! If you don't know what this means, this application will probably not work on your device!"

Saw some people trying this app out on their Toshiba Thrives over on that forum. Some of them speak pretty highly of it and a couple said they got an SOD from it. Might have to try it on both devices. Either way, they said the lag was pretty well nonexistent.

By grace and banners fallen, the Last Battle has come.

Can you throw me a link to the xda thread you speak of?

I just installed this on my rooted OG RAZR and I immediately noticed a difference! I can now switch between apps at lightning speed, everything is soooo much smoother (even though I thought the recent JB OTA update was smooth).

It's like I have a new phone.

Installed the apk on both Bionic and HP Touchpad. More noticeable improvement on Touchpad by far. I'm seeing some pretty heavy battery usage on Bionic running cm9.

Heavy battery drain on Bionic. Had to plug in to charge. Phone running pretty warm. Uninstalled. Still running good on TP. Has promise.

Hmm I'm not having those issues on my bionic. Normal battery drain and running at 86 degrees F. I'll keep running it and see if I run into those issues.

I've had issues with certain roms (ocd) that I've seen similar issues. 4 slot. Could very well be my phone. Again, no issues on my TP.

Running it on my RAZR MAXX Jellybean - 98.72.8 and rooted. A very nice addition to the improvements and speed JB gave me.

Someone posted a link to xd* on rootz where I posted a comment about using this app on my TP running cm9. Entropy seed ect. not all its cracked up to be. Too technical for my understanding, but the post is not recommending installing this. Anyhoo, I'm pretty damn positive I've seen an improvement on my TP. Just wanted to FYI people. I'm running it for now.
