Hi guys, I read through the whole forum and I'm still a little confused about something. Step 11 of the revised install instructions for RLS4 say to do a permissions fix, but for the life of me I can't find what fix needs to be done. Is it something to do with Ac!d?

'Fix Permissions' is an option under the 'Advanced' option in SafeStrap.
So reboot in to SS > Advanced > Fix Permissions.

Rootuser. Thank you for all the hard work. Outstanding job! The entropy seeder was an awesome addition and it was an issue that needed to be addressed on android for years. Good on ya for integrating it into the rom.

Just installed this rom (RLS4) for the first time and I ran into something interesting. I installed SuperSu and that went fine, but when it tried to update the binary, it failed every time. With the included Superuser app, I was able to update the binary just fine. Has anyone else seen this?

Edit: One other issue that I saw was that in SVoice, there is a setting to launch the app when you double tap the home key. I enabled this, but it doesn't seem to be working. Has anyone else experienced this or is it a known issue I may have missed? Also, I just got a hot reboot when I long pressed on the people app in the TouchWiz dock (I wanted to switch out that app for another).

Otherwise, loving the rom so far. Nice to get back on JB & switch it up for a bit. Thanks for the work Rootuser94!

Edited Again: After rebooting, I was able to change the apps in the dock. Not sure why that gave me a hot reboot the first time around, but the second time, it worked. Strange.

Since S Voice is ported over for you guys to use, its not completely working. It's an issue with supersu that i don't know why it happens....

Thanks for the response, I figured it was something like that. No problem at all, just wanted to check before I declared that it was a "bug."

You probably need to change your governor from hotplugx to somehting else for like the 50th time...

Thanks for the reply, but it wasn't the governor issue. After a few other things it finally worked. Appreciate the work and the support!

I had no issues at start and after the reboot/fix permission I lost all notification bar items. Battery clock signal all gone. Tried changing launcher wiping cache data and reinstall ring the ROM. What else should I try?

Edit: I took a ss to show and after the ss it came back. Lol. Happy now and really clean rom

Have you pulled down the notification bar and then released it. Try a reboot and cache wipe too

My favorite team is the San Jose Sharks. I like watching hockey period though, so I watch a ton of games during the season. How about you? I'm so glad the lockout is over!! PS, if anyone is looking to join a H2H fantasy hockey league, PM me for the info. Got a few spots to fill before tonight's draft!

I had the same problem due to not enough storage space on the system partition. So I deleted several system apps like live wallpapers, chrome, and other things and now it works fine. Looks like you need about 40mb's of space on the system partition to make it work. I'm sure there's a better way, but I don't know it :-)

Adfree also works fine as an alternative.
