Just for kicks for you guys having issues with boot have you verified md5 and/or file size?

Getting the black screen on boot after 20 min. My current ver is 4.1.2 leaked JB. Or doesn't it work with this ver???
I'm not sure what you guys mean by delete & recreate the slot. I tried everything else bout 5 times.

what version of Safestrap are you on?

Also what they mean by that is go into Safestrap and go into boot options select stock rom activate, then go back in and delete slot 1/2/3 and re create the slot wipe everything and re-flash.

I'm on 3.11. Still can't get it to work. MD5 and file size match.

If you're attempting to flash custom ROMs, you really should have a solid grasp on what safestrap is and how it works before attempting any of this..
Same goes for md5 sums....

I am on same jb leak and ss 311, never an issue.. does help if u let phone sit for 20 min after 2nd boot after initial flash.

So you're recommending to wipe every ROM slot in order to get this ROM to work? That's not stated in the OP.
I'm in the same boat as many others with this new update & I'm not a noob. No matter which slot I try, I can't get it to boot. I've fooled the OP exactly & have even gone so far as to delete & recreate each slot individually & its still a no go.
I'm redownloading it now for a fresh crack at it. Had no issues with RLS3.

I was stuck with the black screen using Safestrap 3.07. I upgraded to Safestrap 3.11, deleted slot 1, recreated it with 2GB of data, wiped the slot completely, installed RLS 4 and presto, it worked. It does seem like a compatibility issue with 3.07.

He's not suggesting that you delete all the ROM slots, there was an 'or' implied there. Delete whichever slot you are wanting to flash this in to.
Note that you cannot delete a slot when it's the active slot.
If, for instance, you want to delete slot1, then make slot2 the active slot. Now touch slot1 and it will take you to the screen where you activate the slot. One of options on that screen is 'delete'. Delete the slot, then recreate the slot again.

Well after removing Backup assistant plus and the other thing from my verizon services, I once again started receiving the texts right after 6PM last night. I called verizon and told them I was getting these strange texts (Didn't tell them I was on a custom rom) and they said they could not find anything on my account that would cause it so I thought I would give it until this morning when I got woke up at 3AM from one of those texts. I have flashed back to my previous rom I was running for now but wish there was a fix to these stupid VZWNMN:1 messeges.

Anyway, I got it working somehow. I did have a random reboot.

I downloaded the update thru my phone not computer, now that's cool... so any way to be on phone call and still have active 4g network besides WiFi, ?? Please please if there is a way do share. BTW, the ROM had to settle for a few hours in order to do a few things like, my verizion

Understood. Sorry about my tone, I'm just kinda stumped by this issue. Just curious, has anyone on SS3.07 had a successful flash of RLS4?
I haven't gone to SS3.11 yet.

There's definitely something funky going on between this ROM and safestrap. Not sure what it is but not a noob issue, and its proving very hard to pin down where the problem lies. I finally got it to boot, so it does work!

what do you mean? when you get on a phone call your 4g drops off. I know its a dumb question but how is your 4g signal?

mine stays connected and i can browse the web while on a phone call, as it should be.

If I was talking to you I would have quoted you. Read back a few posts to find the users saying "I have no idea what you mean by recreate slot" or "what's an md5 ?" As far as your assumption regarding how long you or I have or have not been rooting and romming, I'll just let that go......

reports have came in that going to 3.11 has worked for some people, might want to try that

Also guys, i have re-downloaded the file and reflashed to try and generate any issues that some of you are having, with no success. flashes fine and boots everytime to any slot for me. i'm on SSv3.11 and am not dual booting, i am on the OTA (leak/whatever) lol
