Can I flash rls7 over 6 without having to reconfigure my phone entirely all over again?

Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2

I do, I've flashed the last 4 rom versions with no problems, but, it can give you problems. Back everything up and give it a try, if out doesn't work redo from scratch

The status bar disappeared on me :/ So...Any way to fix that?

get a notification and it comes back

I use "Lux" to adjust my screen brightness, and its perfect because you can set it to stay active in the notification bar and start on boot. so everytime i reboot it pops up after a few seconds and brings down the bar. but any app with a notification icon should do the same thing

Just go into safestrap and flash the rom onto your existing slot, then wipe cache and dalvik and reboot. Don't erase the existing rom first.

You need to uninstall and re-install the LMT.apk as instructed in the first few posts.

Is there any way to turn off the toggles in pulldown? I prefer power toggles so I can have flashlight and brightness control in there and with them both in there it looks mismatched and redundant.

Did we ever figure this out? Or at least a way to edit the pulldown toggles?

Not trying to be mean/ rude but you've got to try to fix some problems yourself, with running a custom rom comes more responsibility for the user. Just generic complaints without saying you tried things to fix them doesn't help me help you.

I posted earlier in this thread about doing this. I have a custom SystemUI.apk you can push that will remove the touchwiz toggles and allow you to install power toggles. Unfortunately I never got around to making a flashable zip.

Here's the link. You'll have to rename the file from anonfiles to SystemUI.apk before pushing.

Also, the SystemUI.apk I modified was from RLS6. That said, after flashing RLS7, I still used this apk w/o issue.

Maybe.. Depends if i get time to rebase it or not. What is different on the OTA that you dont have on the leak?

I don't have the leak, I'm on .16. To my understanding this currently will not work on the OTA. Obviously I'm new to the root, ROM, hacks, side of things and just trying to catch up. Jellywiz looks like it has a lot of great features that I would like to try out.

Thanks for any and all info.

You can use Matts ROM Flasher to flash back to the .8 kernel....
