Same for me. Uninstalling, reboot, reinstall from play store does not fix. Still get error on install

If you want maps from the play store, just go into your system directory/app using a root explorer and delete the app with the maps icon from it. Then you should be able to install the one from the play store if you are not happy with the current application

Still have the same problem after trying this. Get incompatible message when trying to install from the play store. I also tried to install an .apk I had saved from an older version of maps and it failed as well.

I uninstalled maps with TI backup, rebooted, then tried to install from play store and still get error on install

Confirmed, I took the steps mostly the same, also got install error in play store and tried to install old apk and failed.
So I reflashed the rom. But I'm not really care of the update, just run the update as usual and report this minor bug.

Out of curiousity have you tried a reboot? And/or clean cache and dalvik?

I'd tried to delete the map.apk in system\app, and then reboot, wipe cache/dalvik, fix permissions, but still can't install from play store.

Jellywiz updated to RLS3. Bunch of bug fixes in this build that should make this a solid DD for all! Please read through the OP as it has be updated with new Information. Enjoy!

I have one question. How the hell do you ever get any sleep? Lol :D You crank out ROMs quicker than any Dev I've seen, and I've been around the hacking scene since we hacked the java O.S's in flip phones. Lol

My favorite ROM of all time. Great support and work! Been a crack-flasher since I had my og Droid. Then I found WizzedBean and ultimately this. Each RLS seems to improve speed and overall response. Ads seem to have reappeared tho, anyone else? I know adblockers are out there, just wondering if that changed on RLS 3.

I believe the ROM was originally released with a built-in blocker. I remember the op stating "no ads". Didn't have to install one on my own. I see the OP no longer says it. Non-issue, just curious.

Yeah I removed the ad host file as evidently some links didn't work.... Idk so just install ad away from the market lol
