Last month I sponsered a Raffle style contest for a Roku II XD.
It didn't get much attention, but then again, I didn't promote it real well, SO, I am asking what you think?
Would you be interested in another?
The prize will most likely always be different.
I would likely stick with the donation raffle idea ( I love this place and call it home ) .
For those who don't know, this is how it worked:
For a 24 hr period, anyone who donated to DroidRzr was entered in the raffle. For every $5 donated, you got an entry (example - $15 would give you 3 entries). At the end of the time, I ran the entries through randompicker.com for the winner.
One thing I will do different is that those who intend their donation to count, must reply to the raffle thread stating as such. I may also extend the time based on the value of the prize. They will always be worth at least $50. If this proves to work well, I may throw in a biggy now and then.

I think this is a great idea, you'll notice that no matter how much you promote, people seem not to participate as much as you would hope and think. Its been like that forever now.

I'd be in Kaos. As with you, droidrzr took all of us bionic people in with no hesitation. And now we have the largest thread on the site. Even though I switched to a Razr Maxx, I still spend most of my time with the great bunch of guys from the bionic room.
