Have you tried dragging one app over top of another. I've always had the paid version so not sure if its available in the free or not.

I don't remember, is Nova the one that has 'create a folder' in the upper left corner when you long press an icon? Not sure if that's Nova or Apex. One of those you have to do that first, and then after that you can more apps by just dropping them on the folder.
I don't see a way to make a folder in it so I guess its in the paid it has the setting for them in settings,

Apex has the options for free that Nova wants you to pay for....
This isn't exactly true. Every launcher is going to have some things available on one and not the other unless a premium price is paid. I love nova launcher and kept the free version for months before getting the prime which went on sale for 99 cents when I got it. Apex is great as well, but even they are missing things. I also like adw launcher. If I could mix and match all if them, i'd have one awesome launcher. Haha.
Ps... Free version of nova... Create home screen folder by drag and drop with an icon. Also when the folder is expanded, there are 3 small dots on bottom right hand to edit the folder. If you're talking app drawer folders, yes... In prime version.
