So far so good, no force closes. No bugs that I have seen. I'm pleased with it

Cool. Have you been able to test the following 'core' functions?

- Data (some people using ROMs that use a modified CM12 official release are reporting that during some reboots, data doesn't work and they have to reboot again)

- Bluetooth (audio and phone)

- Camera

- SD Card

- WiFi

- MMS (both on cellular and WiFi)

- Youtube

- Netflix

- Chromecast

I've tested all but chromecast, MMS (only tested on WiFi) & Netflix and everything seems to work fine, the first nightly, YouTube wasn't working but in the 2nd its fixed. I don't have a chromecast at the moment but when I do get around one. I'll be sure to test it. Bluetooth was only tested with a beatspill. WiFi works like a charm. SD card is faster than usual. The front facing has low light issues

For the data reboot issue, I disabled NFC and had no problems. I'm on Net10 (T-Mobile), though at first it wasn't working for me either, but that bug seems to be squashed. Can't tell because I mostly use WiFi to conserve my data

Interesting info about disabling NFC. I wonder if this info has been fed back to the CM12 team.

So NFC has no effect on mine. It's disabled by default and I didn't have to turn it off. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to when data won't come up after a reboot.

Nightly won't boot starting with 01/12 release.  Install then reboot gets stuck on Motorola screen

Interesting. DHacker said on twitter not to use 1/12 or 1/13 builds. Wait for 1/14.

Tried the 1/15 nightly and could not get past boot.  Tried a few times......... bummer.

TWRP 2.8.3.x, wiped everything.

Thoughts?

I used this. TWRP v2.8.4 -

Then I was able to flash the msm_8960 1/14 nightly from the 'CM Updates' menu.

I also tried the non-unified XT926 1/15 build but it just sat there spinning at the CM boot logo for longer than my patience allowed.

Can I use this ROM for XT926M model?

Dumb question maybe?

I am on CM11 and under the updates I see cm12 nightly 1/14. Can I just update through cm11 or do I have to flash with new gaps?

Also I've had a problem connecting to my VPN when on Verizons LTE since updating to 4.4. Does anybody know if Cm 12 would work with the VPN?

You need new LP gapps.
Sorry, I don't use VPN.

Anyone able to flash the latest nightlies and have it boot?

The latest that works for me is the 1/14 release.

So I did a clean install by typing in 'yes' for a full data wipe and was able to boot the 1/23 Nightly. Though, I forgot to install GApps so I went back into recovery and did so. Seems to be working fine. Haven't yet had a chance to test everything but at least it boots!
