There was a update to HOM in the last 24 hours you may want to download 1.5 and set it up. You might want to check a different image file. It would make me a bit warry of one that didn't un-zip properly.

yaaaaaaaaaa..it worked with another FXZ 10x a lot kind heart... :wub  :wub  :wub  :wub  how i can donate to your site???

Looks like a bug in the extract code.  That code is starting to piss me off.  I'll see what I can do to fix it.

Hi,

Thanks so much for your work. I have an xt907 that was freezing while booting up so I downloaded the House of Moto program and followed the instructions in an attempt to fix it. I have tried running the HoM with both the VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10_1FF image and the VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_1FF and it has not worked for me. Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

You can't flash 10 so don't do that again.  You have a USB/driver/cable issue preventing it from sending system to the phone.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried redoing the entire process (installing the driver, VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_1FF, HoM, and snapdragon) on a different computer. Definitely using USB 2.0 and I'm using this cable:

Extracted HoM to C, extracted snapdragon to TOOLS and replaced all, copied and pasted the zipped fxz to Images. Phone is in fastboot mode. Ran HoM, hit finish, ran the bat file, this time I got this:

That's showing that the data is not making it to the device properly.  Given that it's 1.2 gigs in size it MUST have a STABLE usb connection to the device.  This isn't something we can solve....it's specific to your environment...machine/cable/port/etc.

I have a Droid Maxx without any modifications to it. Stopped working a few days ago, been looking into how to fix it and found this site. Thanks for all the help you provide to people.

Phone was working an when i went to use it I had a couple grey box errors pop up about a program having to stop. I hit ok and the phone froze. When it rebooted it got stuck in a boot loop cycle. Motorola logo pops us then the droid stuff starts and it just keeps retyring to boot the droid stuff. Booting to safe mode lasts for about 3 seconds then it tries to reboot and gets back to the boot loop. I can access the fastboot menu on the phone. The computer and phone are able to communicate through USB, but I am not able to see the files on the phone.

I downloaded HOM and the FXZ, created the .bat file and ran it. a few not valid things popped up while it was working, but it completed and rebooted the phone. While it was rebooting a new window popped up on the phone about updating the apps. It was optimizing all of the apps I had I guess. Once that was complete it tried to finish booting and went back to the boot loop.

I should have documented the logs but it was late. I will rerun when I get home and post the logs so you can see what may be wrong.

Thank you

I would at this point make sure to erase user data.  NOTE:  ALL data will be erased when you do this!  But if after a data reset you still have bootloop issues like that, I'd start to suspect a hardware failure.  Good luck!

I'm working on rerunning it now. I do not have my recent photos backed up so I'll run it without erasing the data first and post the info. If it is still an issue I will delete the data. Will deleting the data be any different than just doing a factory reset? I guess I would have the most recent version?

It is still boot looping. It did not try to do any app updates this time.

I'll let you look at the above post and see if you notice anything before I wipe all the data. Are there any good data recovery programs that could recover any of the data after wiping it?

Thanks

Flashed fine.  And no, once the data is wiped it's gone.  However, there's no recourse here...if it's not booting there's no recovering the data anyway.

Hi,

I'm a forum noobie ... but I was flashing CM7 on MOTUS (the backflip) way back when. Got a nice XT926 for a song, not using it yet, so no worries about data loss or anything.  It is still on 9.18.94.  Playing with it, did Lambda root, but found out I can't unlock it. I did change the VZW update file extension so it stopped trying to install the 182.46.10.en.us update.  I also edited the NV Item 8322 and changed the value of the first byte from 01 to 00. (can't remember where I found that solution)

I think I would like to root and unlock it.  I read that some owners don't like KitKat on their Razr HD.

Should I just do a factory data reset, and use RSD Lite to install VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml?   Then can I root and unlock it to flash custom ROMS?

What would you do with it? I don't want to lose the use of the HDMI port or the dock mode.

Thanks for the advice.
