And, to conclude: 3 months (waiting for new battery), 30 euros (price for battery) and 3 days (Net searching for solution) I finally got one usable 'xml' firmware file, ran House of Moto, ran flashme.bat and got same 'you wont get any further' Motorola logo. I can already see myself sitting in back yard tomorrow, picking one of surrounding walls and testing how good that aluminium and kevlar case is. I hope its tough enough to throw it at least 3-4-5 times

Excellent, was able to fix a boot-looped phone off Ebay. Thank you.

Thank you, sir! My Droid Razr M got stuck on the "droid eye" screen out of nowhere. Stock ROM, locked, and not rooted... it just quit. Followed your directions and it worked perfectly!

Yes. Potentially. If you're using the proper USB cable, driver is correctly installed, and you're using a USB 2.0 port rather than USB 3, then it's likely the nvram has failed. It's far too common in the xt926. I've seen a LOT of them over the past year or so.

hello all, made rookie mistake of PM'ing Sam with the following:
"I'm a noob noob, never done any flashing, rooting, etc; but my XT926 went T.U. a few days ago. It restarted on it's own and only made it to the "red eye", never past. Tried going through recover mode and clearing the cache but still no luck. In searching web, came across HoM and hoping the Save Data option will work. Only problem is link for FXZ's in OP doesn't work. I found motofirmware.center site, but baffled as to which FXZ is correct. Unfortunately don't know what version system was on, but with no previous flash or root, assuming it should have been latest OTA update from last fall. Any help, more than greatly appreciated."
And got the following much appreciated reply:
"You'll need the 15 build. For any further questions, post in the forum as I can't do support through PM."
Fortunately motofirmware.center seems to be back up, and I think I found the correct FXZ (
) but would appreciate confirmation from someone a bit more experienced than myself - which basically means anyone on here I'm guessing.
Thanks in advance.

That is the latest out for the xt-926 and if you had taken all the ota's for that phone that is what you would be on. Do your self one big favor, Read and follow each and every instruction to the letter. Make sure you have the moto usb cable, you are using a usb 2.0 port, and have all the current drivers from moto and for java installed and working properly. Those items are the main causes of flash failures.
By the way did I mention Read all instructions first before starting out??

Spainter, thanks for the confirmation.
Went so far as to print out the OP, so I could read it a few hundred times and follow along whilst doing everything. Hopefully finding success tomorrow, after some recuperative rest.

Thanks @SamuriHL for the tool and to @RikRong as well as @livinginkaos for helping point me in this direction to rectify my issues. I had an unknown ROM that I managed to switch to CM10.2.1 and then with this tool I was able to move my phone to a clean xt926.xxxxx.10 build (@spainter 's recommendation).
Thanks again folks!

If you have an FXZ for it, yes.

Ok. I won't need the snapdragon_FXZ_Support files or any additional files like that right? Just House of Moto and my FXZ?
