I have tried different ROMs but no avail.  My wifi started sputtering out about a month ago and now it just doesn't work.  I see my router occasionally but it wont connect.  The tethering only works through Bluetooth.

Is there something just wrong with the Razr Maxx HD?  The only thing I think I haven't tried is to flash back to Jellybean.

Is this just the way it is and I should accept it until I get a different phone or is there a solution?

I found this solution for tethering on the XT926 running KK with an rooted phone. It didn't fix my wifi connection issues, but I have an unlimited data plan. I wish it did fix the wifi connections, but I'm okay with the tethering fix 'cause I can hotspot to my kid's devices in the car now.

Many thanks to jfriend33 post about the xposed framework modules  (X Tether) which put me to finding it and installing it.
