Wow, sorry youre having so many issues, almost make me feel guilty it was so easy for me.
Another thread I read mentioned that you could actually use the non-NFC SIM.
Yeah, I am escalating my call tonight directly to Tier II, and then escalating again. If they want to mess with me they can kiss their $1100/yr off contract plan out the door.

Seriously sorry you're still having to deal with this I didn't have any of this crap, I just pulled the SIM from my 2013 Moto X and plugged it in, easy peasy. Hope they straighten their fecal matter out soon for you.

OK, I thought that taking the OTA was causing my 'refresh' issue, where the phone will refresh right in the middle of an activity, such as replying here via TapaTalk. So, I HoNd my device to 5.0.1, keeping data, with TWRP and root.
Refresh issue is still there, although HoN process was fully successful.

We need 5.0.3 badly.

I'm this || close to going back to my Turbo.......
wow, I guess I must be the only one not having any type of issues with this whale (knocking on wood, throwing salt over shoulder, sacrificing fatted calf to supreme being)!! Now I'm really starting to feel guilty. I assume everyone is running stock ROM and kernel?

I cut my SIM down from the N5 and popped it in my N6, almost as easy as you.
But alas, I've been off of VZW for almost a year and a half.

I just put the phone I recently aquirred on verizon that wasn't bought through verizon. I was going to just switch sim's around but low and behold my moto x used the nano sim and my xt-926 used a micro. I went into verizon and outright told them I didn't need two phones activiated at the same time, But the guy I was talking to said well If I can get the phone on with out costing you extra? He used perminant permotions to cover the cost of the monthly charges, poped a new sim in my moto x and off I went. Granted I didn't have unlimited data, only 4 gig. He also told me to watch for a new structured plan that may even save me more and give me 10 gig of data. With wifi at the house Karen and I only use about 400 meg of wireless data a month.

One week in on the Nexus 6. The only complaint I have is the lack of OTG support. Using stickmount from Chainfire has worked but not without some problems. Lolipop doesn't play well with older android versions that write to the usb with native support. I get quite a few insufficant space errors when doing tib backups. Rebooting the phone and re-mounting the usb seems to clear it up. Or doing the backup to internal storage and then moving it to the usb also seems to work. Battery life isn't bad though I am use to the Maxx HD which had great battery life (2 to 4 days on a charge depending on use.). I do get a day and a half on the Nexus 6 when around the house, a full day with easy room to spare out and about. The size is not a problem at all. One thing I did learn quickly is that use of a wireless charger is a bit of a trick. The nexus doesn't like single coil chargers and is picky about placement with 3 coil chargers. I found one that it is happy with and works well with care in placement of the phone on the charger. Both Karen and I enjoy the Nexus 6 and am glad we made it our phone for the next couple years.

I havent used the otg much but didnt exhibit any problems to speak of. Agreed on Battery. I am getting about the same as you.
I got a Choe Qi charger and it works very well even thru the Ringke fusion case.
Enjoy!

THanks, man. Read that last night, actually. Kinda pissed.
In my case I'm willing to bet a full month's paychecks that they are not going ot activate me because I decided to do a BYOD to my Grandfathered unlimited plan. The last time I was on the phone with them I was getting calls from VZW for 2 weeks straigh tabout how they could save me money by moving off the unlimited plan.
Then, at the end of my Feb-Mar bill, 2 days before my account got knocked up for another $190 (3 lines), one pof my lines 'ran out of data' for it's allotment for the month.
Yeah, save me money my rear end.....

after being wishy washy for a couple months between the Turbo and N6, the sorta-root news for the Turbo made me make up my mind to go Nexus. This phone is freakin awesome, but I do miss the notification LED from my XT926.
Many of the ROM's have LED working mostly....or you could use Light Flow. The only thing I cant get working is the LED flashing but it wont kill me.

I was just going to look for a shell/holster combo for this device. Last two were the same VZW ones, and they worked great.

Since outer box doesn't seem to want to make a defender case I settled for a supa armor case and holster off of Amazon. They aren't to bad but hard to get to work with QI charging
