Updating, can't wait to see how this runs. I was playing with my nephew's Samsung Galaxy over the weekend. The JB was sweet in full operation.

When i get into recovery and use the apply update from external memory, it wont do the update. Do I need to wipe/ factory reset first then do an update?

The link provided in the OP doesn't work. I click on "download" and nothing happens....it finally seems to time out. I have tired on my phone via 4G and Wifi.....nothing. Tried on my laptop via 4G card and Wifi....nothing.

Any other links out there? I got the prompt on my phone earlier but it of course did not download.

No...did u temp unroot with ota root keeper first before going to stock recovery?

I've attempted to download the revert to .211, I'm currently running .215, the dropbox link seems to be out of order. Anyone have a mirror or new source to go back to .211? Also, could I just put the JB update on my safe partition like a ROM?

Use matt's utility to fastboot back to 211 once on 211 root phone. Then install ota root keeper once u save root temp unroot then go in to stock recovery and flash then go back to ota root keeper and get root back....

Use matt's utility to fastboot back to 211 once on 211 root phone. Then install ota root keeper once u save root temp unroot then go in to stock recovery and flash then go back to ota root keeper and get root back....

What about safestrap and clockwork? are they going to cause issues with the whole process?

No.. cause everything is wiped except for ext-sd card....basically your bringing your phone back to stock

You're awesome n00b, one last question for you, or anyone, I've googled and tried several links for Matt's utility, and not had any luck finding a usable link. Anyone have one handy?

Will this affect how ROMs run after the update? Are there any issues with installing ICS safestrap onto a Jelly Bean rom? I assume not, since it leaves stock side alone, in theory.. Just asking, however!
