Best to wait for 4.2 and JB kernel. or run an ICS ROM for now and when the JB ones have been corrected via this update (flash, BT, wifi) I know Phandroid devs. will be using this ota to fix some of the current JB rom issues. so expect some better roms around the corner.Any speculation as to whether this will be the final update for the Razr? Or will there possibly be a 4.2 update in the future? If this is it, should we assume VZW and/or Motorola will push updates to fix any bugs in this 4.1.2 update? Just curious... I'm running JB for now, but I have a replacement phone on its way that will be loaded with ICS. I'm wondering whether I should stick with ICS until I get another OTA update prompt or just update manually. Either way, I intend to root first and use Matt's instructions to keep root. Any thoughts?

Will they actually replace the phone because they messed up and leaked a build?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
I got a replacement for another issue, not because of the update. Killing two birds with one stone, hopefully.

I've read people are having issues with BT/wifi, etc., but mine is all working fine. But, is there any reasonable expectation that we'll even get 4.2? That's what I'm wondering. And from what I've read, this update is a JB kernel. Of course I could be wrong...

Mine had screen issues, black spots behind the screen. A minor annoyance really, but a defect nonetheless. I've had 3 Razr's now, soon to be 4, and they've all had this issue. My first one got so bad it actually started showing a black spot all the time, and it even showed up in my pictures.

Ok, i wasn't positive. You can not revert JB to ICS using Matt's util. This has been stated a few times and is in the OP. Once you take this build, there is no going back. The security was updated again (although I don't know why...idiots). Nonetheless, you can't downgrade.

That is the nature of these phones... that's just how the screen is placed inside the phone. Micro dust particles trapping air inside... i used a LECIA DX 4000 microscope and looked at it.Mine had screen issues, black spots behind the screen. Yeah, I havent had any issues either. As far as OTA 4.2... No. Via ROM devs.... Yes.I've read people are having issues with BT/wifi, etc., but mine is all working fine. new build... new kernel. but at that i think it is still an ICS kernel. if the file name ends with .215 then it is a new kernel as .215 was the last one relasedConfirming, this update is running on a new kernel. Can't speak on whether it's ICS or JB, but it is a different kernel than ICS 211.

Can someone confirm if the camcorder and video playback is borked in this build? It sure is for me...
Camcorder and video playback work fine. I've yet to find anything wrong with this build. Everything is running smooth and quick. I also discovered you can snap stills while recording video, and that feature works smoothly as well.

Ok, i wasn't positive.
Leave it to motorola to unnecessarily up the security for what should be a fairly minor update.

Can you post the version of the kernel? I thought I read somewhere that it was the same kernel that we got on Bionic with our ICS release. Meaning I believe it's still an ICS kernel, albeit newer than your ICS build.

Thanks guys. I'm stuck then. I've tried wiping data, cache, and reinstalling the leak and I still don't have video playback or camcorder. Any other ideas?
