Can't you download smart actions from Google Play. And Matt's unbrick jelly bean utility will get you to a stock verizon of this release.

If I just download Smart Actions from the market will it return the phone to "stock?" I also didn't realize There was an un-brick utility. Sort of like Matt's utility 1.82 option 1?

Edit: PS where is the unbrick tool. Is it the same a the restore root tool? I don't see a thread. found it. I have root. Will I lose root if I run the tool?

I wanted to thank Matt and everyone that helped with this- I installed on the 26th after prepping my phone and backing up/moving files on the 25th. Followed his directions verbatim, and everything works perfect. Key word is VERBATIM- you NEED to WIPE clean. You wouldn't leave shizzle on your arse, so why leave shnizzle on your phone? It's a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.

Battery life is much better
4g reception is better (I live within 3 miles of 6 towers, and it typically would shift back and forth from 3g to 4g- not anymore)
4g speeds are faster than before
Everything is smoother, slicker, and faster than the mouth on that you know who girl around the corner we all knew- apps loading, swiping, etc
I can actually use chrome now- MUCH MUCH MUCH better than ever on GB or ICS.
Stock Mobile hotspot/SQLite hack works as good/better than before- torture test will be netflix tonight
I think I can even run faster and jump higher now too. JB's just that damn good! They should have named it Rick James or C. Norris. Just sayin.

Only quirk I've experienced is often I can't log into websites on the stock browser- I tried to buy some parts online at Advance Auto, and couldn't log in, but I could with chrome. Same goes for this website, and a few others I lurk in. Stock browser wouldn't allow it, but chrome would. It may have to do with the autofill feature too- it seemed sometimes if I used autofill for my username, it wouldn't work but if I typed it all out then I'd succeed at getting logged in. Not sure if I need to clear a cache or data file somewhere and that will help.....I would have thought the total wipe cleared all of it out.

Only quirk so far, though. Going to do my wife's phone this weekend.

Just finished the process. Everything worked fine.

I didn't need to do the instructions in the second post. I was able to restore root using the Voodoo app after the update.

Is anyone experiencing slower 4g speeds on JB? I can't confirm as I haven't left my town since the update, but I'm getting only about 2-3.5mb down and 4mb up (so up seems good).

On 3G I'm seeing only 240kbps up and 157k up. In general, slower then normal (not sure if this is due to something on our towers at the moment, or a JB update bug).

Your best bet since some system files have been altered in the past is to use the 1.82 utility and restore stock .211 .... then root (if you choose to) .and then follow the directions to keep root (also if you choose to have root) ..... maybe try a different copy of the update .....

Anyone that wants the jellybean leak without losing ICS and fast boot ability should checkout JB Dual boot - XT912. It works perfectly and you can use it from .211, .214, or .215 without redoing your whole phone to get there. Just be rooted on ICS with safe strap 3.07 installed and follow the instructions in the thread. This method allows you to go back to ICS again if you want. Does not take you off the upgrade path either.

Sent from my Droid Razr Maxx booting JB leak within .211 safe strap. (JB Dual Boot - XT912)
