I may be wrong, but I think only the 6p supports the native option.I don't have that on Marshmallow 6.0.1 on the Nexus 6.. Does Lightflow need to be installed?
Which is frigging stupid since the 6 has the hardware. I miss that dang light.

LOL should have known.
The only reason I have stayed away from lightflow is that the continuous read write to the memory it uses to flash the light. To me it was too much give for the use of the light. Maybe that is what native does as well but I can do with out it.

The Nexus 6 doesn't have it.
And let me check, but I'm pretty sure this is still the N6 thread

I suppose finding the code to make it work in Tasker is not easy eh?
That looks interesting, however, it doesn't do notifications, which is what I kinda wanted.

There are folks using Tasker for it. Googleee

I don't have my N6 with me to test this, but LED Blinker states it doesn't need root. Try the lite version and if it works, it may be worth the $ to pay for pro.

I think I'll end up researching it for Tasker. If I feel the need to - after a year of not having the LED but having the Active Display instead, I've gotten used to not having it. Plus, Active Display just works.

I don't see that in the setting on my NX6 either but that could be because I'm running Pure Nexus, but I do have LightFlow installed. The light doesn't blink but it does change colors for the various notifications I have set.

Those were from my 6P and my N7. The N9 has it as well.

Well, I've been meaning to update the N7 to the latest MM build (it's only a few revisions behind) so once I get that done with HoN, I look to see if I have that setting.

I've decided to just stick with active display.

You are right. Not sure what I was looking at. Maybe I looked at my N7 two more times.....not on my N9

Well, I did finally update the N7 to the latest (well a month old anyways) version of MM and I do have the setting to pulse the light but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Since updating to this version, it seems the notification light doesn't pulse like it used to when I had emails or other notifications. I tried it under straight MM stock and after loading Pure Nexus and the behavior is identical each way. I guess I'll have to load LightFlow to get it to work again.

Interesting. It pulses on my N7. I have it mounted in my Element and my wife keeps asking me why there's a light flashing in there

It still pulses the light but not as consistently as it used to on the previous release I was on.
