I would like to learn how to port ROMs. Does anybody know where I should look to find out how to? Thanks.

There's not a ton of how-to discussion on this forum, but XDA has a rather extensive forum dedicated to learning how to dev.

Yeah, the XDA forum has a ton of stuff like that.  There are even links to free online workshops/classes for learning programming/etc.
