For the second question, yes you can restore kk from backup or flash correct one according your bootloader.

It's being worked on. I have gotten it to boot bit it won't connect to data. Shows unknown baseband.

Don't know where to post this , dont want to step on any toes. Cj360 has another pa 5.02 alpha build out on drdevs. 01/10/15. The last 2 I've flashed have been great. Nothing extra, no options. Just very fast , pure aosp. I can't post a link, and I hope nprevette420 will forgive me for hijacking his thread. But CJ360 hasn't posted it anywhere that I've found, and its a really nice alpha ROM. I thought ,prolly wrong that a few more people trying it and reporting back wouldn't be a bad thing.

Check what file system your data partition is. It sounds like it's f2fs it needs to be ext4 and/or did you wipe all partitions except internal storage and sdcard?

Same thing happens to me.  I can run NOBE's AOSP LP, but have had no success with CM versions - does that explain anything?

 

So, if ext4 is the answer, how does one go about doing that?  Wouldn't wiping system during the loading allow the ROM to write what it wants?

In twrp recovery there's a change/repair file system button under the wipe menu I think

All cm 12 versions since 01/12 have had boot issues. I have had no issues running f2fs on my data partition.

You got the latest cm12 builds to boot? I can't get cm12 or bliss to boot at all for me. That is why I haven't released any new builds.

You are correct - I looked - mine on kitkat (Tesla 2.5) says ext4.  So doesn't look like this may be the issue.

 

I wonder how the CM developers are getting their devices to boot to check their changelog!

So far not since 1/11 have any of the CM12 builds worked.  They de-unified xt926 and build still didn't work.  Won't get past init "fsg and modem partitions fail to
