Please do yourself a favor and read, read again, and read one more time before installing and using this tool.  If it's set up correctly, it's very easy to use.  But if you don't follow directions, it'll either not work or not do what you expect.  Failure to read and follow the directions is NOT a defect of the tool!

Mission statement for tool:

This will allow users to sideload an OTA update zip to their phone.  Nothing more, nothing less.

WARNINGS:

o) You MUST be COMPLETELY STOCK to use this tool

o) Did I mention COMPLETELY stock?

o) That means no customizations to the system partition

o) Completely stock does NOT mean having TWRP or CWM or any other non-stock recovery installed

o) Failure to understand these warnings will result in lots of bad things™ happening

Downloads:

o)

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

Install:

o) Unzip to your C:\ drive <-- THAT DOES NOT MEAN JUST ANYWHERE YOU FEEL LIKE IT.  Just sayin'.  This means LITERALLY.

o) Optionally install the Universal ADB driver

Usage:

o) Copy your OTA zip file to the OTA sub-directory in the OTA_Install folder on your C:\ drive

o) Run the RunMe.bat file

o) Select the OTA from the menu

o) Follow the directions!!

NOTES:

The process for getting into stock recovery may be slightly different depending on your phone model/version/etc.  You may have to google it up to find out how to enter stock recovery.  That is up to you to do.

Once in stock recovery, you'll need to find the option for sideloading the update.  Sometimes it's called "apply update from adb".  Sometimes it's called sideloading.  This is device/version specific, as well, so you may have to search to find out how to get into the sideload mode in your particular stock recovery.

If your device is not recognized by ADB once in sideload mode, you should install the universal ADB driver and that should take care of it.

CAUTION:  This is version 1 and hasn't been tested.  I'm fairly sure it'll work, but, you know, version 1...

Yea, let me know how it goes.  I obviously can't test it until I get a new OTA.

Sam, You around?  I am at step "select OTA from the menu"  however when i push 1 and hit enter it just blinks the screen and nothing happen.  Typing "e" exits the installer as it should.

When I run it locally with your update and select option 1, I get:

Please ensure your phone is:
o] Charged
o] Connected to a USB 2 port using your OEM cable
o] USB drivers are updated and installed

You must be in stock recovery...
On Motorola phones:
o] Power off
o] Hold volume up and down, press power
o] Volume down to recovery, power up to select
o] On the Andy icon screen, hold volume up, press power to bring up the menu

For other phones, the process will be similar but MAY be slightly different

Once in recovery, select the option 'apply update from ADB' or similar

Ready to install...
Press any key to continue . . .

And I don't have jack connected.  The answer is no, you do not need the phone connected until you press any key at the ready to install prompt.

Let me just ask one small little question.....because you've posted zero information which is what people do all the time that I complain about endlessly, let's just hypothetically wonder if you followed the installation instructions EXACTLY, or, perhaps you may have been a bit liberal with them and didn't follow them EXACTLY...

Yes, I unzipped into a folder that I use on my C drive for android stuff.  Then i double clicked on run.  Two options appear.

1. blur_version.21.21.42.victara_tmo.tmo.en.us

e. exit installer
