I was just wonderiing if anyone has seen this for the XT1225? Turbo.

Is this even possible?

http://gadgetunlocke...-twrp-recovery/

How to root Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo XT1225 with TWRP Recovery
  1. Download both the file and extract the Xperia Advance Kernel, inside the extracted folder, you will find a file called boot.img (if not, then rename the .img file to boot.img), copy the file and paste it to the working fastboot folder on your PC.
  2. After completing the first step, go to the fastboot folder and open command prompt there, do press Shift+Right Click and select ‘open command prompt here’.
  3. Now connect your device to your PC via USB cable and run the following commands:
    adb reboot bootloader
    fastboot flash boot.img
    fastboot reboot
  4. Now disconnect your device from your PC and boot into recovery, to do so: first switch off your device and press Volume Up+Power until you see Moto logo on the screen.
  5. In the next screen you will several options, you just select “install from SD card” option, it will ask you to locate the zip file, just locate the SuperSU zip file that you have already copied to your device’s SD card.
  6. After completion, just reboot your device.

Tha’s it, you have successfully rooted Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo XT1225

I wouldn't try that if it was me. It doesn't even have the correct model number reference.  Mixing kernels from another phone?  NO!

Uh, no..... They show 2 downloads, TWRP and SuperSU - then they tell you to extract the Xperia advanced Kernel..... um, that wasn't one of the downloads..... Also, flashing a kernel from another device?  Seriously?  .....  Read the directions... It says to flash the boot image, boot into recovery (yet you never flashed a custom recovery yet), and choose the supersu.zip .....

These guys have tons of Horribly bad methods of doing stuff you can't do.  It is no wonder there are so many people flashing stupid stuff.

It was a joke to repay Livingkaos for a comment he made about me and a camera.
And yes, there is an XT1225, it is sold in foreign countries as the Moto Maxx.

Nexus 6 Bootloader unlockable from the factory and will do anything + more than the Turbo.  It also has the same processor, ram and storage as the turbo.  I have been looking into this for myself and given the fact that with the nexus you will never have to wait for an exploit to unlock or root it wins hands down.

The nexus 6 US model. purchased from Google or Motorola will both support all US carriers.  Verizon in fact is going to be launching their Nexus 6 shortly,(Rumor has it as the 12th of March).  If you have a Verizon phone that takes a nano sim you can put it into the US Nexus and it will work.

The image FXZ KDF21.128-15.15 referenced in the first post is no longer available.

I have tried repeatedly to use this tool as well as House Of Moto (4.1) to work on other FXZ images I could find for the XT1254 but both tools complain that the XML file is missing.

Any other suggestions on how to get this file that has been tested?

Any reasonable way to do this recovery without these special tools? Phone software just crashed one day and won't boot since.

Thanks for the help

Try this.  Be careful as I can't be sure of the file. https://mega.co.nz/#...uNXpkcl1h-ENL3g

This is where I found the Turbo file http://forum.xda-dev...-droid-t3063470
