With the phone off, hold the volume down then press and release the power while continuing to hold the vol down for a couple seconds.

I have to ask, why did you need to flash this fxz?

This may the big dummy question of the day, but is this file the same as the OTA that VZW was pushing to new DT owners?

If it is, I have already applied to my DT, and that concludes my existence on this thread.

If not, what is special about it?

Finally, do I get something special (other than my account closed) if this was the big dummy question of the day?

Thanks!

Yes, this is the same build that they OTA'd out of the box.  The reason this is here is to support the device for those who have run into problems.  Also if the OTA to this build fails, flashing this FXZ will get you there just the same, but cleaner.

Not a dummy question.  We've seen much worse :)

BTW, things do tend to show up here sometimes ahead of OTA, even into the soak timing, so don't be afraid to come back.

I was under the assumption that if I flashed the Blur_version.21.21.15.quark_verizon.verizon.en.us.zip I would get rid of the bloat ware. Was I wrong for assuming this? If so please forgive my Ignorance in advance.

Why would you think that, exactly?  I'm not sure why people get the impression that an FXZ is somehow different than the OTA.  It's EXACTLY the same.

Actually I wanted to flash back to out of the box. I took the 1st OTA. And did not want to do that.

And it makes no sense to want to go back to a broken build anyway.

I was just wonderiing if anyone has seen this for the XT1225? Turbo.

Is this even possible?

http://gadgetunlocke...-twrp-recovery/

How to root Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo XT1225 with TWRP Recovery
  1. Download both the file and extract the Xperia Advance Kernel, inside the extracted folder, you will find a file called boot.img (if not, then rename the .img file to boot.img), copy the file and paste it to the working fastboot folder on your PC.
  2. After completing the first step, go to the fastboot folder and open command prompt there, do press Shift+Right Click and select ‘open command prompt here’.
  3. Now connect your device to your PC via USB cable and run the following commands:
    adb reboot bootloader
    fastboot flash boot.img
    fastboot reboot
  4. Now disconnect your device from your PC and boot into recovery, to do so: first switch off your device and press Volume Up+Power until you see Moto logo on the screen.
  5. In the next screen you will several options, you just select “install from SD card” option, it will ask you to locate the zip file, just locate the SuperSU zip file that you have already copied to your device’s SD card.
  6. After completion, just reboot your device.

Tha’s it, you have successfully rooted Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo XT1225
