Hey team,

shattered my glass on my bionic. Any thoughts as to whether I should replace w another bionic or shop. Don't want to sign up for another 2 yrs w Verizon. Found a bionic in great condition for 100$. I like my car and home docks. Baloney? get something way newer and better? Problem is I will have to ante up for a Craigslist device in good shape etc etc. So question is would you spend 100$ on a new old bionic (in great shape) or are there any other way better Motorolas that will work on my docks or should I just spend 200-400$ on something way better.  Really enjoy this thread.

Appreciate your comments!

Pete

Go ahead and get a new one. I got a near-new one or Exactly 71.03 on Ebay, and It's in pretty much in perfect condition. It's got a ding or two, and a slight, yet unnoticible scratch on the screen. You can use the shattered one as an alarm clock, or put it in a lapdock for good.

snagged a new used bionic in perfect shape. 75$. Was worth it as my stock JB no longer has calendar problems. Was fun to re root / install safestrap and running nightlies again. Used the 7/30 and wifi tether didn't work. Tried a few reboots / permissions / no luck. Went back to latest Release candidate. Worked perfect. Wasn't sure if anyone else had Wifi or tether or both problems on newest nightlies. I did watch the video for replacing digitizer... many steps I could have easily screwed up. LOL I did spend way more than an hour on all of this! :)

Umm, the latest RC is quite outdated. It was for 10.1.0 which was already released as stable over a month ago and has since been succeeded by 10.1.2. Also I've been updating to the newest nightlies whenever they come out since 10.1.2 and haven't had any problems with wifi tether or anything else for that matter, so you might wanna give them another shot.

Appreciate your help. You fixed my MMS and other problems as well! 8/7 nightly was the charm. I wonder if it was the order I flashed these in that fixed my problem... weird.

No. Dhacker posted on twitter this morning link to many phones. Im having issues with internal storage, so you may want to hold out on flashing.

Check settings/storage and see if you have internal storage (8 gig). Has no 1% battery increments and I can't get hard key lights to turn off.

Edit  Switched back to AOKP and all is well.  Just got to figure this storage issue.  All files on internal sd are now located in a folder labeled ss.

Spoke too soon. Still loosing internal sd storage, network goes to global unless set to lte/cdma/evo. Focal camera crashes and makes other camera apps inoperable. But the damn thing does seem VERY smooth. Hopefully just on my end and others will have better luck.

Good Afternoon Milski...

What's New...

Well, I've also happen to have this issue from time to time with storage so,was Kinda looking for an App that can help me manager my Storage Capacity what goes to an SD Card, Store on a Phone or Move to Internal storage...so far its been Awesome

My biggest culprit for Insufficient Storage is To many Emails in my Inbox, Sent Files or Deleted Files...Once I remove most of what I don't need my storage issues goes away in addition to this App I found...

Its working for me anyways my friend...

Hope your having a Awesome Summer Milski...I'm giving it all I have before Winter...

Its Called
App 2 SD Pro/app2sd...
  • When Installing an App it will tell you the best suggestion where to store

BUBBA! I'm awesome my friend. Always rocking and rolling. This is odd. I do loose my internal sd storage. Phone doesn't recognize it. I check astro and my internal stuff is now labeled under a folder called ss. SD card folder is there, but inoperable. This is past my pay grade on how to fix. But it does seem like quite a nice bump. Hopefully someone else on a Bionic will flash, have better luck, or offer some insight for me. Always miss ya!

Internal storage is working perfectly fine for me, however it seems to have ruined my removable sd card. After installing from said sd card, i booted up and it said it was blank or had an unsupported file system, tried reformatting and same error comes up, removed it and tried putting it in my sd reader on my computer and it never shows up. It's hard to believe it was coincidence that it was working perfectly fine before and it just happened to break after installing but before booting into it. At least sd cards are relatively cheap nowadays but I'm kinda weary about getting a new one in case this happens again.

Thanks for the advice but it didn't work for me, still says it's blank or has unrecognized file system. It's really not that big of a deal though, I didn't have anything important on it and wasn't all that necessary either, I guess I'll just get a new one at some point :/
