10.2 is Android 4.3 I believe, correct?

Hey team,

shattered my glass on my bionic. Any thoughts as to whether I should replace w another bionic or shop. Don't want to sign up for another 2 yrs w Verizon. Found a bionic in great condition for 100$. I like my car and home docks. Baloney? get something way newer and better? Problem is I will have to ante up for a Craigslist device in good shape etc etc. So question is would you spend 100$ on a new old bionic (in great shape) or are there any other way better Motorolas that will work on my docks or should I just spend 200-400$ on something way better.  Really enjoy this thread.

Appreciate your comments!

Pete

And don't forget dhackers frame of thought.  He doesn't care if it works or not, has bugs or doesn't.  Hopefully it will go smoothly though

I'd have to find it but people have said you can get a Bionic for $70. If you want to go new and stay on unlimited the Moto X is supposed to be released Thursday with a reported $300 off contract price. Who knows how the phone itself will be though. Could probably get an s3 in that price range and there is plenty of dev support for it.

Not sure but it was reported that devices were supposed to be shipped today to stores. Everything about that phone seems to be leaks so until the 1st we won't know anything for sure.

The weird thing is, now the amazon apk will look like it's installing but nothing happens, it just says that the "App Not Installed"... Weird. Anyone else see this?

FYI for anyone with this or a similar problem, I used the included file manager in the ROM to find and delete all folders labelled Amazon and reinstalled the Amazon appstore and that seems to have fixed my problems.

For some reason I can't download these ROMs. I am doing it from my phone and it never goes through. I tried 7-31 to 7-25 none of them download.

Any ideas? Or does anyone have another link.

Have you been going to the site or just using the updater built into the ROM?

I've replaced my digitizer with no problem, costs about $50 and parts are on on Amazon...It will take 1 hour to replace.

Just be cautious of cheaper digitizers and watch the reviews because there are some bad ones out there where only half the screen is responsive and such.

What exactly do the options under Surface Improvement do? What is recommended for our bionics? I asked earlier, I know, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

snagged a new used bionic in perfect shape. 75$. Was worth it as my stock JB no longer has calendar problems. Was fun to re root / install safestrap and running nightlies again. Used the 7/30 and wifi tether didn't work. Tried a few reboots / permissions / no luck. Went back to latest Release candidate. Worked perfect. Wasn't sure if anyone else had Wifi or tether or both problems on newest nightlies. I did watch the video for replacing digitizer... many steps I could have easily screwed up. LOL I did spend way more than an hour on all of this! :)
