I used to get great battery life out of CM. I installed RC2 the day it came out and now my battery life is horrible. When I installed it I was at full charge at 7:30am. After about 8 hours without even using it the battery was down to 50% when I got home. I opened some email and checked G+ for about 15 minutes and the warning about 15% battery came up. I chocked it up to first day after installing a new ROM and it needed time to adjust.

The next day after taking it off the charger at 7:30am and about 10 minutes of surfing G+ by noon I was down to 60%. By 5pm I was down to 36% without any other real use. Today, I took it off the charger at 8am. I sent a few texts, checked my G+ & GMail, and took some photos this afternoon for about 30 minutes. I'm down to 10% battery life. Before RC2 I could do all this and still have around 50% battery life when I left work.

Anyone else have any battery usage issues?

I've been running RC2 for a few days and I have had pretty outstanding battery life. I got 18 hours out of today, even with using navigation, maps, games, and facebook throughout the day. Maybe I would try reflashing again and wiping.

RC2 has been pretty rock solid. My favorite since 4/20 update.

Only issue I'm having with RC2 is with bluetooth devices. I can connect and will get anywhere from 0-15 minutes of music listening time before the phone locks and has to have the battery pulled. To be fair, it did this with ICS too but is much more frequent now. I've been doing dirty upgrades for a while now so I may just go back and do a clean flash. Anyone else had this and have other suggestions?  Other than that, this seems pretty solid.

Prior to the RC releases I know that lots of people (myself included) had bluetooth dying on a regular basis, and clearing cache and Dalvik brought it back. I haven't had trouble for awhile though.

Been rocking the RC2 since it came out, very very happy. I've not yet found any show stopping bugs with it. Stable as 4/20 but faster.

I should have a signature here...somewhere.

I loved the RC2 but it froze today. I'm pretty much happy with stock now that it's fast and great battery (basically seemed to improve when I safestrapped and tested a few ROMs--maybe fix permissions did it or maybe the inexplicable loss of swype). Anyway, I forgot I switched to stock today and went to show someone the way you can swipe camera to gallery. Oops, crap. I miss CM already.

I'll keep trying major releases and understand that there will be issues--until there aren't :)

Holy crap I didn't know you could do that! I never tried to do it and thought it was odd you couldn't go to the gallery from a button in the camera. Thanks.

I flashed the 5-13 nightly and it's back to normal. RC2 just wasn't for me I guess.

CM is incredible. I'll confess that, now that I think of it, it is Ingress that has seemed to be the thing that's running when phone freezes... And it's sort of one of those things you need when you need it. So I've been switching back to stock.

Using OTA JB on stock ROM and have CM nightlies on slot 1. Having several episodes of running hot w BSOD as well w latest nightly. Battery draining quickly as well. Are dirty upgrades when you upgrade CM using CM upater? Since going to OTA JB on Stock ROM slot I mistakenly imported calendar app and calendar app storage using TIBU into new Stock JB. Yikes - big mistake. I've been getting calendar errors ever since (despite a painful factory data reset). Calendar works fine in CM slot 2nd ROM. Anybody have any suggestions to rescue my OTA JB Stock ROM? Frequent Calendar storage issues (errors). I don't mind doing another factory data reset but the first one did not help. Another issue I have is that since the Factory Data reset on my stock ROM Verizon keeps texting me with VZNWM:1 or 2. I know this is an issue with their backup software - I've had to call them twice. Otherwise all is well. :D

You can remove the stock calendar app in TBU, and get an updated Google calendar app from the Play store. I had some calendar issues myself on CM 10.0 on the TouchPad that required some finagling along those lines.

I believe a dirty upgrade refers to not wiping everything on the rom slot you're flashing to.

I also had trouble earlier today running RC2. Just flashed the 0516 nightly though, and GPS is back to normal.

thanks for response.

Removed Calendar app and Calendar storage app on Tibu.

Got new calendar app from play store.

Results not pretty

Doesn't sync w google calendar. removed google account. Reinstalled google account. No improvment. Calendar app not able to see my google account. Working flawlessly on CM 10.1 but stock OTA JB calendar somehow corrupted.
