No offense but I don't see what the big hubub is about the docks. I normally uninstall car dock cause its ugly IMO. But.... If you do really want it there are several alternatives on the markets, you can even spoof your phone to think its on a dock if your on stock.

Sent from my Banana Phone using Tapatalk 2

IMO bedside charging dock features are ok (better than just sitting there doing nothing) but Car dock is really nice. Actually turns device into a leaner travel machine. For example. Automatically connects to my bluetooth, turns on GPS locator and has big, comfortable icons for managing calls, music, podcasts, navigation, maps. Reads texts to me out loud.

I know it sounds soft but it's pretty comfortable.

Since using CM10.1, I've had one constant issue and hope that there is some sort of fix for it. I keep my music library in iTunes and use Moto's Motocast/MML program (connected via USB) to transfer it. On the stock side, I am able to transfer my entire library and playlists without any issue. On CM, the process runs, but will normally crap out and then try to restart itself. From what I have observed, the phone acts as if it is no longer connected to the computer and then a second later the USB connection restarts. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

EDIT: This seems to happen with normal file transfers as well. The only way for me to transfer anything from PC to phone is to switch to stock, transfer files, then switch back to CM.

Have you looked at Double twist instead? Works pretty well and can sync over WiFi.

Have you tried AirDroid?

Rc 2 already out. Does that mean every new nightly gets a new rc rating?

nm. Saw on AC this is 2nd update for additional bug fixes and getting it ready for 10.1.0

So I can definitely confirm that FXZing will fix any GPS problems if GPS Status, reinstalling Maps, fixing permissions etc wont work.

Also Voodoo did not work for me. It allowed me to take the OTA but I still lost root. However luckily there is actually a Windows tool to root the official Jelly Bean update! User "marty45714" has built a Linux VM tool that works flawlessly on Windows to root back my Bionic!

Now I'm back to CM10.1 with working GPS + Jb OTA!

Same here for GPS. Fxz did the trick. Glad you got root back. FYI, when you fxz to 246, you should first freeze updater stock side, fxz, then root via razrs edge, then restore tibu. You'll obviously still be on 246. But for those not wanting the update period, this is a good option.

I've loaded the RC and so far it seems pretty smooth and snappy. The one thing that is not working right for me is voice to text and searching. When I click the microphone it takes 24 seconds before the "speak now" comes up, then it works just fine. I tried clearing the cache, dalvic, re-flashing the gapps...still the same. Anyone have a suggestion?

They both seemed pretty stable however I got a bsod in rc2 today.

So I use GPS often enough that I had to bump back to a nightly. I see some of you posting about Fxz to fix the issue. I'm not new to rooting or flashing but I'm totally under a rock about this. Not asking for an explanation of it but if it's a super tedious process that I need an afternoon for or something I can do quickly enough that I don't have to tell everyone to call the house phone.

FXZ is pretty fast to do. the process takes about 15 min tops and a couple clicks if you have all the necessary files installed and downloaded. it basically flashes the stock OTA with a software on comp. however it will wipe out your data and you will lose root.

Oh okay thanks for the info. I think I'm going to stick with the nightly for now since it's been working fine minus one or two things but it's good to know the fix isn't too crazy to do.

Even the re-root isn't that time consuming, really, but some have hit snags so I was leery of saying anything.

I'm on RC2 fresh and so far I haven't had any issues. Occasional lags but they seem part for course on my phone.

Of course, now that I said something.... lol...

Query: If I install a nightly on top of the Avatar rom, what should I expect to be the consequences? Just wondering if anyone has done this and if they would relate his/her experience. :D

Thanks, I am sure that you are correct. I suppose that crack flashing can be just too far on the edge.

I used to get great battery life out of CM. I installed RC2 the day it came out and now my battery life is horrible. When I installed it I was at full charge at 7:30am. After about 8 hours without even using it the battery was down to 50% when I got home. I opened some email and checked G+ for about 15 minutes and the warning about 15% battery came up. I chocked it up to first day after installing a new ROM and it needed time to adjust.

The next day after taking it off the charger at 7:30am and about 10 minutes of surfing G+ by noon I was down to 60%. By 5pm I was down to 36% without any other real use. Today, I took it off the charger at 8am. I sent a few texts, checked my G+ & GMail, and took some photos this afternoon for about 30 minutes. I'm down to 10% battery life. Before RC2 I could do all this and still have around 50% battery life when I left work.

Anyone else have any battery usage issues?
