The lock screen widgets have to be enabled in the app from the developer. If it isn't there, the developer needs to add the functionality to the app

Thanks for the info, now I know I'm not just missing something simple!

I have a question about battery/battery usage stats. Anyone know why the android OS is always dominating the top of the list. I mean if not much is going on its always like 50%+ on other devices Android OS and System seem to be in the 8% or less range and Phone idle always seems to be at the top or screen if phone is used a lot.

I had read back a bit ago that the ICS 4.0.4 had an issue with the Kernel and the 'suspend' not working properly and that JB kernel would correct that. Well I'm still seeing the Android OS doing the same thing on the JB OTA build in stock or custom ROMs. Is there anything that can be done to change this or will OS always be top batter user in sleep mode on the Bionic?

Anyone have the Bluetooth issue where it will turn on once. But after a reboot you can't turn it back on?

Yea. I always have to wipe cache to bring it back. Cache wipes fix a lot of problems with this cm. You just have to do it a lot. Gets old sometimes. But I like this ROM a lot despite the frequency of having to reboot.

Try turning data off. I think any battery used by the radio for syncing and stuff is classified under android OS. Seems like 4.2.2 has some super inefficient idle data use. If tasker/juice defender doesn't fix the idle battery drain, you should consider performing a deep clean on your stock side
I get 40+% android os when idling with data on and <10% android os when idling with data off
This equates to 2-3% per hour drain with data on and .5% per hour drain with data off

If data off and deep cleaning doesn't fix it, you may consider learning to use the auto start manager

There is one and only one thing I prefer about iOS. Idle power management is that thing. Google please swallow your pride and implement project roadrunner.
I'm from the internet and so can you!

Well I kinda need my data on for email and such throughout the day so that is kinda not the point. I mean i have email set for once an hour the only thing that syncs is google contacts but i guess i can turn that off and just manually back it up whenever i add a new contact. But is that really syncing that much to worry about? I also keep all background data stopped but for my email text and calls obviously not an issue they will always come down.

I don't think its an android thing cause my friends SG2 and another friends GS3 both can leave their data on and don't lock their stuff down as much as i do and their OS is like 4-8% with normal use. I believe it to be a Bionic thing.

Though if it is inefficient idle data use, i can maybe hope some of these ROMs will get some more tweaks based on JB and be more efficient.

Thanks for the input though ;)

Also, you said Deep Cleaning? Do you mean an FXZ? im not sure i know about deep cleaning of my ROM, and I'm assuming you mean the stock ROM.

Deep clean as in do an FDR on your stock side and format internal SD. FXZ shouldn't be be necessary as this does (roughly)the same thing sans unrooting you.

idk about the gs3, but my bro has a nexus 4 and my Buddy has ags2 which both do the exact same thing as my bionic with respect to data mattering. Manipulating syncing only helped a little so I'm guessing the"and stuff" does a lot of waking the phone to send small data packets which I have no idea what the "and stuff" is.
Are you opposed to using tasker? It's pretty fun if you're fan of high level programming :)

Yeah i have the app on my SD card to install but i kinda thought it run to heavy and eat up the battery i was trying to get back. I dont use facebook or other social media (ppl can call or text me if they want me to know something) i may give that another look i just need my phone to only have teh cell and text with email syncing once an hour and no other data going out till i ask it to ya know.

And yeah I did an FXZ and then took OTA and then rooted and did an FDR  so that was all done.

I may have to eat my words on that comparison of fxz and deep clean, does fxzing wipe internal SD?
Back when the data elf would come and steal your data, tasker was rough on battery since you had to toggle airplane mode etc so I quit using it for a while. On this cm10.1, connectivity seems as good as on stock (possibly better) by the time chrome etc has fully loaded, I have to wait 2 seconds tops for my data connection to be established. I personally think 2 extra seconds is a more than worthy trade off for being able to use stock battery instead of extended :)

Boo double post :/

Might as well use it to suggest sysctl tweaks. Apps like system tuner let you manually tweak your sysctl to optimize performance/battery life.

I'm lazy so I use one power guard which has 6 presets built in dependant on which usage profile you prefer (standby, gaming etc)

If you force stop the BT share app, itll come right back up.

I had to leave CM because I use BT for a lot of my Tasker profiles and also to tether my iPad for school. It just isn't stable enough for me.

I've been getting duplicate (or triplicate) texts on EVERY text I've received since updating to the 4/20 build. I only have the stock message app and have cleared data multiple times. I've even tried a clean reflash. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I haven't had that problem at all. My texts work great on 4/20. I'm running a liquid nightly now and its horrible for MMS . but with either never seen duplicate texts

Where can I find Pacman, liquid, and the others? I know they're on another forum but for the life of me can't remember which one.

Thanks!

I killed slot 1 and instead loaded 4/20.  It seems to work fine in the short amount of time I have given it.  Currently on JB OTA, though.  Will switch back to 4/20 later when I get home.

4/20 nightly is ballin'. There is absolutely no issues i can find on it. My speakerphone mic is working, camera, BT, wifi, wifi tethering you name it its been good. No loss of ringtone or notifiacation tones I'm on JB .22 OTA running slot 1.

I'm not even touching another build right now. No need as everything is working for me. I'll move up if they port it over to a JB based kernel and get better battery life.

I'm also Running Liquid 4/20 and its the best so far as well... Hmmmm must be something about that 4/20 thing thats making some chill ROMs :)
