Saw a tweet per dh mentioning they're thinking about switching back to 308 kernel for stability issues. Not sure what that means

Sent from my XT875 using Tapatalk 2

I ran stock yesterday to play around and got great battery life and the interface was very smooth. The 4/20 version of 10.1 with the Targa-specific updates is now just about perfect and I can't see going back to stock. It would make sense for the devs to jump back to the 3.08 kernel if it means stability or better battery life until they can incorporate the changes into the KEXEC kernel.

Did you try uninstalling the updates and letting it update again? or try wiping the cache and dalvik?

So is it a big no no to try and flash this while on the official jb? I know I can't flash roms based off of the ICS kernel, but because this is kexec I thought I may be able to. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I didn't see it asked anywhere in the thread and I'm nowhere near an expert on this sort of stuff.

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

I flashed it last night and it's working flawlessly. As long add you have safe strap installed and the recovery everything send top be working fine.

I had to update my su binaries before SS would work. I also had top Intel the recovery a couple of times. But once o got it or worked like a champ.

Near zero issues on 4/20 build. Very happy now that Speakerphone is fixed. Looks like the updated drivers and other items pulled from the JB build have made things really smooth. No need to go back to stock at all!

So I can flash this while on the stock ota jelly bean? I've been trying to find out for sure for a while now. I can't afford to brick my phone.

Only with Safestrap. The change log for the 4/20 build indicated they incorporate some of the new code from the stock JB build.

Hey for those of you guys that were having GPS issues with the previous builds, how is it sticking on the 4/20+ update?

Tried resetting, reflashing, wiping, GPS Test, etc still no luck so i'm hopin the new build will help me. I know GPS isnt an issue for everyone. seems to be a hit or miss.
