Anyone here know of a CPU app that has more then 3 I/O schedulers and the same 4 or 5 governors? I'm looking for one that will give me smartassv2 and sio atleast. I wouldn't mind interactivex governor either

Thanks
Eric

We're limited by the governors and i/o schedulers included in this rom. You do not just get access to other schedulers by installing a new app. Those would have to be implemented in the ROM by Hash.

Does anybody else have an issue with the phone forgetting what your default ringtone is? I will set my ringtone, then after a couple hours check the ringtone in the system settings to find it says "unknown ringtone". I have tried using custome mp3's and default ringtones, and nothing works. The phone decides to use a basic bell noise that is not loud enough for me to hear. Any solutions? Thanks.

This seems to happen to me whenever I update to a new nightly (which I guess makes sense).

4/8 is about the third build that has had problems with mounting the SD card to the computer and KEEPING it there. So frustrating trying to copy a file larger than 10MB just to have it suddenly eject in the middle of the operation.
it's worth noting that the unsafe side stock rom has no problem with this I just finished copying about 1 gig.

Ahhh i thought the cpu apps wrote in the scripts to the init.d

It goes to show when you have just enough knowledge to lead you down that dark path of not knowing enough lol

I know the governors had to be written but i thought that was what those apps did if you DL a cpu app.

So for the best battery/perf combo for the moderate user then? I'm using Hotplug and cfq.

I had the same issue with numerous previous builds (& ROMs) but when I need to copy large amounts of data to or from the SD card, I shut down my phone, remove the sd card & use the SD adapter/slot in my laptop. Works much better & data is more reliable.

I can confirm that I had this problem in the 3/14 unofficial build as well (the last build I used, the one that fixed stock camera) and had to resort to doing manual file transfers over an sd card reader to copy anything to the phone.

I must be misunderstanding something. Is there a reason for needing to transfer files via cable versus using airdroid or similar?

yeah there's plenty of reasons why you'd want to use the USB cable, one being you don't have the wireless connection to do so. Another is I use wifi file explorer pro which I bought a while back but it doesn't upload folders, only files.

I just Flashed the new nightly 4-10-13 and it fixed the stock weather app. The weather app on the lock screen now works instead of just the clock :) nice thanks!

I haven't noticed anything else yet

I would understand that issue with flashing updated ROM's. But, this issue is not with flashing anything.

Also some people download roms to their pc then transfer them to the phone sd card to flash. I pull mine down via the browser on the phone ota but, different strokes for different folks.

I suppose as a work around just boot into stock, put whatever file you need to put on the sd card (or extract from the SD card), then boot back to CM?

I should have a signature here...somewhere.

I understand that. All of which is accomplished with airdroid as well. Individual preference. I was just curious. I've used my cable once to RSD. Every other management task with my phone I've been able to do with airdroid. Even transferring files to flash.

if you're sitting at your computer, sometimes it's easier to plug in a usb cable. An added benefit is charging while you do your bidness .
