Anyone else having random issues with the GPS on every nightly? Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't... I have (2) Bionics same system, moved the back up to the other.... one works the other does not right now... they both were working originally.. i am on 4/4 currently, but had the issues on about every version.... I have to delete the Rom slot then re-create it and then restore to get the GPS back..... Any thoughts? Anyone working on this bug? I love this ROM so far though!

I have a number of occasions where GPS will work after a boot and then I find out will no longer work some hours or days later. A reboot often clears it. Been seeing this since kexec first came out.

I usually have to rewipe cache or just install the update again. But it worked from jump after 4/7 install.

Same here. Lost it in 4/6 and got it back 4/7.

fyi to some people...if there is a working version of cm 10.1 for example: when they got flash to work, you dont HAVE to update nightlies every damn night. Why keep updating if you dont have any problems. ive been on 3/27 and its perfect for me.

The original stock ROM works. We flash nightlies because we WANT the positive changes made.

You aren't familiar with the concept of nightlies or testing in general are you? You don't get to have nice stable milestones unless people go out and test the nightlies and report bugs to the devs.

DHacker29 made this post on Twitter about CM10.1 4.2.2 based ROM's with WIFI problems:

If you're having WiFi issues after flash then: either in terminal or from adb shell 'su' enter 'wifical.sh' enter and you should be good.

Same here! I had a fully charged battery at 5 PM last night; by midnite it was less than 10 % with virtually no usage and with only one 15 min call and 3 text messages and nothing else. I also noticed the phone was warmer than usual.

Battery life much better with CPU set to "OnDemand"

So... I'm new to this, and I'm not sure if I should post this here, or not, but it seems the newer releases of CM (4/6 and 4/7) don't want to play nice with Battery Widget Reborn?

I'm not sure if that's helpful at all to know that... I was previously running 3/28 and it worked fine, but 4/6 and 4/7 both make it force close immediately.

i was figuring hashcode left it on interactive because the system demanded it. Have you experienced any lag or performance decrease?

Nope. Cache and Dalvic should be sufficient unless you start to see problems. I've been dirty flashing these for nearly a month now.

I'm not sure if it is because I just installed one of the more recent nightlys from an older one or because of changing to ondemand, but my phone was acting rather laggy today. And all of the animations were going extremely slow as well. I just rebooted, wiped cache and dalvik and changed back to interactive, and things are going much better. I'm sure that's not much help because I'm changing so much, but I did see a difference.

guessing that's from the ondemand/interactive switch

No lag or any performance decrease. Had the phone with GPS & Location turned on all day long. Sent a few texts & a couple short phone calls. Surfed the net for about 45 minutes. Used only 25% of the extended battery today. Real happy with where it's at (4/4 nightly). Won't update it until something major hits on the nightlies.per Hashcode

When you first install a nightly, let it settle down for a few hours, then reboot especially if you restore your apps via Google acct.(like I do).

When I installed the 4/4 nightly, I let it sit & install apps & rest for about 5 hours. Then rebooted. Opened Chrome & logged into it. Checked out Tethering. Changed wallpaper, setup dev options, etc. Then rebooted again to refresh. Everything is working great for me, your experience may vary

I still use mot_hotplug. Guess I'm old fashioned. My battery lasts pretty all day unlike interactive and I don't have the occasional performance issue like in ondemand.

Try disabling GPS & Location. I'm noticing very little battery usage after I did this. I used only 17% over 12 hours today so far on my extended battery
