Aokp download link a page back!

AOKP nightlies? I've been bouncing around between this, AOKP and Liquid (slots 1, 2 and 3 respectively). Liquid hasn't gotten any love in a while but it's, well, really smooth...

Also testing 3/29. Actually, ran into problems with previous build and Gmail not syncing automagically...so I've purged Gmail, Accounts, and misc unnecessary and will try today's fixes with the latest Google Apps per instructions. Thanks for the hard work...everyone involved! Sorli...

still got that audio whine on 3/29 it's definitely unrelated to the media files as the sound is heard even when adjusting volumes.

The audio whine was fixed by moto in a GB update and regressed/came back in ICS. Some Bionics have it badly, some don't, and some seem to not have it at all. It is probably something low-level which requires kernel modification to fix or requires changing system code.

It doesn't have anything to do with what headphones you use or what media files (or quality) you have (unless you use heavy attenuation or an in-line amplifier, but that is masking the problem, not fixing it), so please stop suggesting that, it has to do with the sound system and code of the device, and it comes out whenever the system is outputting sound or "believes" it has to output sound (volume change, mode change, basically whenever the sound hardware layer is called) over the headphones or speaker. I've heard some people say it does not occur over bluetooth, but as I don't have bluetooth headphones I cannot check.

I'd say figuring out what Moto did in the update that fixed it would be the best bet, but I'd have no idea how or even if it is possible. It would be nice to have a contact on the moto dev team, as they could probably clear the fix up really quickly...

ok call me crazy b/c I flash a lot, but didn't there used to be a "reboot into recovery" option after you long-press the power button and select reboot? Anyhoo I'm firing up 3/30 as we speak.

It's still there, they just disabled it by default. It's in settings. Settings>System (under Interface)>Power Menu>Reboot Menu
For some odd reason it's unchecked by default. It's still there and still works. :)

Right, I've got that checked, but there used to be two options when you long-pressed the power button and selected Reboot -

Reboot
Reboot into Recovery <--- this is what's missing. Reboots the phone directly into TWRP. Very handy when you're crackflashing.

That's odd, I've got that. I'm running the 3/29 nightly right now. Maybe toggle it off, reboot, toggle it back on, reboot?

This is what I've got. Maybe I need a clean flash.

(Edit, I tried what zbob suggested, no luck)

Edit 2 I tried reflashing with a system wipe. Still no go.
