Wow, I never knew builds required specific slots. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've had CM10 in Slot 2 for the last 5 weeks. Build 23 and 24 were the first to fail and motivate my change this evening. Either way, 3/24 is working just spanky! Sorli...

The slot assignments are only for the new kexec builds for CM10.1, Aokp and Liquid. They won't work anywhere else. So, for example I use slots 1 and 2 as above, but I don't use Liquid, so I put IcarusHD in slot 3.
Samsung S4, Rooted, Encrypted, Stock JB 4.4.3 GPE and Echo TW v.24 4.4.2
Moto Xoom WiFi-EOS Big Part 4.4.4 w/ TWRP 2.7.1. Thanks BRD & R'nH!

Truth. In fact, if you flash the new builds, they added a message stating "if you didn't flash this in slot xx, it won't boot".

And you should all try Liquid.. man it's nice... unfortunately hasn't been getting any love lately so I've moved on, for now, hopefully not for long.

What else does it need?

Holy crap Milski it worked! 3/24 is the first build MMS worked for me. Maybe it was the reboot I did before trying. I installed 3/24 about 5 hours ago & just let it sit & DL my apps from Google.

Wait a minute. I used a brand new 32GB Ext SD card to load 3/24 from. Like Hashcode said on XDA....I was having the Gallery FC issue. Wonder if that was part of it?

Anyway, all good now!

I used to like Liquid back in my O Droid days. Great boot animations. However, it seems that we only get occasional builds, just like Killrom. So I've decided to stick with CM10.1 and Aokp, as long as we are getting regular updates.

Is there a link to Hashcode's forum for this AOKP build?

What else is needed (Google Apps)? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does AOKP have Google Apps built-in by default? I suspect it does not since the build size is kinda small, but any information would be appreciated or simply pointing me in the right direction. Thanks, Sorli...

this is from the website that he linked to on the previous page:

And yes GApps are needed because they do not come built in.

As Ldubs stated, didn't know there was a current issue with stock mms/sms. That was taken care of some time ago. I checked both stock mms and system settings, and I can't remember what buttons to hit, but there was some mention via dh about toggling something on/off, but I'll be damned if I remember. I'll see if I can find it. It should be running normal though.

When the hell are we getting back up via tapatalk? Tough having to be around a pc to get here.

Thanks Ultra. For whatever reason I didn't need to do that with 3/24 Nightly.

I have a trick to add....some (most?) of you probably already know.

Where is USB Debugging on CM 10.1?

Settings --> About Phone --> Build Number -->> click "Build Number" in rapid succession (10 times or so)

You have now unlocked developer options & there are quite a few options to check out. Enjoy!

Thanks for the link and heads up on information.

I actually gave AOKP a test run today since CM10.1 GPS was failing completing connecting as usual with Google Maps and Navigation. AOKP GPS works pretty well, still not as quick as I'm used too, but the big problem with AOKP relates to Battery life and it goes from 50% to nothing is a flip of the coin.

Worth a shot and I haven't looked at anything beside 10.1 for a while now so good to try something new and step out of the box.

Thanks again! Sorli...

I think I did this, but I'm a newb and not exactly sure what you mean.

Either way, battery stats is now reporting over 6 hours so the ROM may simply be calming down after my new install. Thanks Sorli...

Droidrzr is having some maintenance done this weekend 3/30/13. This is supposed to fix Tapatalk.

I sure hope so. The mobile site is frustrating. Can't seem to figure out how to jump to specific page, or to first unread....

Incremental fixes? Whatever is happening on a nightly basis for cm10 isn't getting regularly worked in to liquid. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm just saying everything works in liquid on my end. I don't think it needs anything incremental. Perhaps it will get updates on the monthlies. Who knows

Its so nice to get all these replies and all this work on our thought to be dead bionic! How's the newest build? My only flaw was the lock screen kept going to the BSOD on the earlier nightlies, has anyone had this problem anymore?
