Droid Th3ry and D. Hacker have released a brand new 4.2.1 Rom called Killrom beta that's pretty polished. There's a forum on the new Droid Hive. It has some of the same issues as CM10.1. It's also on DH's Twitter feed. Can't flash over CM10.1 needs a full wipe. Also use slot 1 in Safe strap.
Have fun:-) :-)

Got this loaded in slot1 & it works well, but doesn't come with a camera app. JB Camera+ or Camera FX work well though; but, I did have load Qikpic to get my gallery contents to show up.

Damn it. Just experienced my forst lockup on phone call.

Got you!! :D

Having the same issue with the phone locking up when receiving a call and the screen off. Tried several things noticed that it works fine if on vibrate or silent. Try that for now should get you bye until a fix is found.

I'll check this method out

Just curious if it's the ROM or an app... Using Android System Info or ROM Toolbox Pro, the apps only see one CPU core while in CM 10.1. Switch to stock (using SS3) and it sees both cores.
Just having fun with Android!

I use system panel from the play store to check CPU and such. Try the free version and hit menu then monitor and see if it reads both cores.

Not sure what it was, but I rebooted to stock and then back to slot 1 and it's reading 2 cores again...

OP updated:

CHANGES:
[01/16]Bluetooth device starts/stops correctly (audio issues still)

Don't forget:
** Unless phone is set to vibrate: incoming phone call will end up at black screen with repeating ringer audio (crashed) [needs hard reset to fix usually] **

For anyone who wants on-screen navbar, you can add it by adding the following to your buildprop:

qemu.hw.mainkeys
Value= 0

Then reboot. You can use romtoolbox to make the change. Not sure how to customize the navbar shortcuts yet, though.

I used to enjoy the shortcuts in AOKP, but I know not everyone is a fan of them.

I will be testing GSM services on this rom. If it fixes the call problem, the killrom can take a nap!

I can't get any of the cameras listed in this thread to work. What am I doing wrong?

Also Google voice keyboard not working. Is this a known issue?

Have you tried pudding camera? Just downloaded and worked fine. I'm running SwiftKey Flow. Voice works fine. You have correct settings under input?

I think it was because I tried running the stock camera first. Puddy works after resetting phone. I'll try a different keyboard.

edit: so the google voice transcriber (microphone icon on keyboard) was not working regardless of the keyboard that i downloaded. I fixed it by updating the "google search" app

I just downloaded and tried to flash but ended up with a boot loop. Maybe it was just a bad download. I'll download again and try another time...

WHAT'S WORKING:
  • [01/18]Incoming phone call bug fixed

wiped cache and dalvik and then activated slot one and installed today's build and 121212 GAPPS and wiped cache and dalvik and booted system. booted okay and seemed to be okay until I got incoming phone call (no audio on Bluetooth, or phone, or speaker. hung up and tried to call person back and phone didn't actually hang up as shown as connected when I tried to dial out. finally rebooted and dialed out and still no audio. confirmed that I had connected with the other person on both the incoming and outgoing call but they couldn't hear me either. switched back to stock and rebooted after wiping. stock came up okay but Bluetooth wouldn't connect until I unpaired and repaired it (this also happened on the 16 build). I am very happy that progress has been made as I can now connect to my Bluetooth and obviously dial out and receive calls. looking forward to resolution of the audio problems as then this would be my DD. appreciated the hard work Hash!
