I went to about phone, chose the 3/16 nightly, chose update, phone rebooted to safestrap, but did not update. Do I have to install the update manually? If so, where did the download save to?
*** Nevermind, found it in the Cmupdater folder***

BTW the auto updater is looking for the file in sdcard and for me at least it go t saved to sd_ext under cmupdater folder.

hey but seriously has no one else experience the high pitched squeal/whine in headphones while playing music? It kicks in about a second before something plays (including video) and it lasts for about 2 seconds after you playback is stopped.

You can kind of manipulate it to focus and then snap a pic quick to get a flash

Did anyone else have an issue with gallery not working on 3/16 build? Had to go back to 3/14 and now works fine. Just wondering if it's just my phone or what.

No, it might be your gapps. Try the 3/17 Nightly with a side of gapps.

You have to flash manually.

I did flash in slot-1. After the reflash they are not installed (still no gapps). Reformatting now....and it worked...thanks!

You're welcome! Glad it worked. Enjoy the jellybeans;)

Guys, me telling you will not help. You'll get stuck. You need to take a little time and read the op and this thread. All the info is in there. Just read:ph34r:

tried 3/17 over 3/16 hoping the audio changes in the log might fix the whine. No such luck, even after a factory data reset. 3/17 also brought a lot of force closes on boot so i'm going back to 3/16 for now.

Did your phone always have the wine? Even stock? Some people have always had this.

I'm sure someone, somewhere has asked this already, but since our wonderful devs have gotten the camera to work without the need of a third-party app, aside from the flash hiccup of course, does this hopefully mean that HDMI support will soon be available? Right now, that's about the only thing keeping me from using a Jelly Bean ROM as a daily driver, seeing as there are some games I like to play through my TV.

anyone getting bad battery drain since the 3.0.31 kernel?

Happened to me. I'm hoping its just settling in. Went from a full charge to 14% in about 6 hours with minimal use. Just installed it Saturday night. Will see how it does tomorrow.

The speakerphone works but not the mic while on speakerphone. I'm wondering if I did something wrong or if this isn't fixed yet. Flashed on slot one after doing a complete deleted and slot reformat. Tried with gapps and without.

I have not always had it, and I suspect many have been able to rid themselves of it inadvertently through some software patch. Here are some relevant links.

<details the ICS update restoring the whine
One update is that after wiping, flashing, FDR, and reboot, the hiss/whine/squeal is a little quieter and barely detectable in the left ear (maybe that's my hearing) but definitely still present in the right. For those who've never experienced this I truly envy you but I know there is a software/firmware repair to this problem so I'll do whatever it takes to flash and test the way to a solution.

Also the XDA thread has another user reporting the audio whine using the 3/16 nightly.
