well since tether works and the whine is gone it seems like a good time to make the jump. I'm coming from deodexed 246 so I'm getting the new safestrap, 3.11 from hashcode's blog. The CM nightly is the latest or is it the 3-14 test build in the OP? I thought there was a difference between the CM and the kexec so do I need 3-16 from CM or something else?

You need to read the thread. 3/16 is the latest Nightly build. It has everything!

I've been reading it that's why I know I want to jump to JB now. The only thing i'm not sure of is which version I should install coming from ICS.

Flash the 03/16 ROM with safestrap 3.11. Then you can check for updates everyday via "about phone". Very simple.

I'm having a problem sending any receiving MMS messages. Tried the suggestion made earlier to toggle NV off then back on and that didn't work. I did a dirty flash of 03/16 over 03/15. Maybe I should try a factory reset and clear cache and dalvik. Any one else have issues with this?

Try downloading handcent and have mms go through it, then do the toggle nv and check stock. That's how I got mine to work after initially trying your way.

I was actually using handcent and still can't send MMS but I just tried sending a MMS with the stock MMS message app and it works. Odd, I prefer handcent because I can send messages to groups and can't with the stock one but no big deal, I will just use stock to send and receive MMS.

HC tweeted a link to new updated KEXEC AOKP. Got KEXEC AOKP JB on Slot 2, and....it works :) Anyone know if there an option for Nighly updates on AOKP Roms, like there is with CM10.1? I could'nt find it.

Edit: Sorry, HC did not tweet the link, I found it on the the download site. Don't want to post it before HC & DH are ready. Its their thunder!

What version is most stable and what gapps do I download? I've been seeing a lot of different things being said in this thread (I've been reading for what feels like hours haha), and I feel lost. I'll be able to flash this like any other rom in safestrap, right?

Please see my edited post above. You need to wait until HC or DH posts the link.

Edit: If you know how to get there, In the Developer's FTP website for DH and Hashcode there is a new folder under Targa, called Aokp. The new rom is there.

The whine is definitely still present. FCK. Anyway I'll keep trying nightlies. Maybe send hash a pm to get it worked out. This ROM is smooth as butter though and I love the new keyboard, android and swipe together. No issues except that horrible whine so far. Gonna be a DD

I've tried apollo, power amp, and google play music. All produce the same whine. I did a factory reset after flashing and it's a little better, i.e. it's not as loud, but it's definitely still present. I really wish this had gone away after GB but for some reason the ICS OTA restored the whine with a vengeance.

That sucks. You're the first I've seen post that issue. Sure it's not the phone itself? I sympathize. I need my music.

Flash isn't working on any of my camera apps. Is that a known problem or does anybody know a fix? Thanks!
