Looks like Hash updated the link to 3-14 file.

Stock? I thought only 3rd party apps for Cam?

You asked if the cam works after the thread is abuzz with the fact that the stock cam works... Do yourself a favor and read some of the thread :)

Btw the op has a link to the kexec for everyone looking for which build is which. I just snagged that and booted it up just fine
Edit. Created a brand new slot 1 also, complete fresh start, everything but front facing video (front pics do work)

So I've read through these last few pages and can't find the answer to my question. Stock camera/screen tearing is fixed on kexec/ non kexec or both? Thanks!

EDIT: never mind I should have read more than the last few pages. OP answered my question!

Maybe we should have two threads? One for the official CM10.1, and one for the development/KEXEC builds? It's sort of confusing what works and what doesn't.

It appears that HC got the stock camera working with the test build, but none of the other builds have it yet. The official CM10.1 has a non-stock kernel, but doesn't have the same name as the others (3.0.8-ga077317 inky-ghost@cyanogenmod #1 Fri Mar 15 06:15:11 PDT 2013).
Just having fun with Android!

His goal is to get the kernel up to 3.0.31 and everything stable and then he'll push the changes to CM10.1 official. It shouldn't be too much longer with how well things are looking so far.

Just wondering what the difference is between the file named JBMR1-KEXEC-cm-10.1-20130314-UNOFFICIAL-targa.zip and KEXEC-cm-10.1-20130314-UNOFFICIAL-targa.zip? File sizes are the same but the Last Modified dates are different. Thanks in advance.

Obsidien, thanks for you response. No, I did flash in slot 1 with full wipe. However, that was an old post:) Problem was fixed with DH or HC posting a fresh link I think that was a bad download. Lol.

Yes, I asked HC the same question a few posts back. I can't figure it out. They have different timestamps and MD5's and both use the 3.08 kernal. Maybe Obsidian knows? :)

Some are reporting that 3/14 kexec stock camera works for them. Mine crashes Gallery quickly. I tried their suggestions of clearing data for Gallery in Apps to no avail. Also did factory reset to no avail. I've flashed at least 4 times, twice of which were to freshly created slot 1's. I'm not one of the lucky ones. I'm giving up until there is a new version.

So I downloaded the file in the OP (3/14), deleted Slot-1, created Slot-1, installed ROM, installed Gapps, and booted the phone and I'm still getting the FC of the gallery when I open the camera. If I turn off the screen it stays dark (soft keys light up) and I have to do a battery pull. I'm using the Gapps from post 559. This also happens on the one with the prefix JBMR1.

I have given up on getting this to work for now but I look forward to see what Hash can do.

Which gapps are you using? I flashed the test build yesterday, but it appears I wasn't following the op in regards to gapps to use. I have gapps-jb-4.2.1-cm10.1.zip md5 starts with afd86ea7 and ends with 91c1 I don't know if this will help with the camera issue. I'm at work so i can't provide link. Maybe you can hunt them down.

I'm using gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip and it has a much different md5. I'll hunt the one down you mention to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the heads-up.

EDIT:
The one I am using is the one mentioned in the OP. MD5 matches what it says on the download page. Color me puzzled.

Did anyone else notice that the torch tile is missing from the quick settings menu? It's not a huge issue, but I really enjoyed the convenience.

Noticed that as well. Hopefully it's returned in the next couple builds. I've got the app on one my my screens for easy access for now.
