Nope, still on 4.0.4 I don't ever really touch stock. I've considered it, but a while ago when I was having an issue with another rom, I used stock for a few days and ended up deleting some bloatware so the only way I can upgrade to jb is to reflash stock. I don't really want to mess with it, but I might if that could fix the issue with wifi. I just got myself a chromecast yesterday and it's really frustrating to not be able to use my phone with wifi crapping out on me all over the place.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 404 stock is jb? Never want to delete bloatware on stock. What you should do is switch to stock and see if you can get wifi. Pm me if you'd like to discuss further. Might be able to figure something out.

4.0.4 is ICS...

Thanks for the clarification. But he can't go back to 246 via rsd? Or is there a option?

He can straight up go to JB via RSD but will need to either retain root with Voodoo RootKeeper or reroot after the update (there are a couple of ways to do it through either Linux or using a virtual machine).

Yeah, I realized that a bit late. I just wasn't thinking at the time. When I get home I'll see if wifi is working just fine on stock. I'll let you know if I need additional help. Thanks!

Good to know. I'm headed to the in-laws early in the morning for the holidays so I have been busy getting ready for the trip and haven't had a chance to mess with it. I'll probably fxz when I get home.

Just curious, are you on jb on stock side?

Running art with pa gapps 4.4.2 from goo. Had to find android browser in play store because I'm not a chrome fan. So far no cc. But gel launcher lags worse than adw ex.

FML...  I had a few extra minutes tonight and figured I'd try to FXZ to fix my dumb wifi problem. I guess I didn't have something set up quite right, but the first FXZ file I used  failed. By the time I got a file that was going to work, it was flashing the system image and I guess my battery was too low or something because it failed again and since then I'm unable to flash anything in RSD lite. Any time the phone powers off and back on, it tells me that the battery is low and won't let me do anything. I'm thinking my best bet is to charge the battery some other way (ie an external charger or someone else's phone) and retry the FXZ file. Does anyone else have any other ideas of what I can do while I wait for an external charger to get here?

It's worse than that. Google a little. I've never had to do it but I remember you have to chop the end off a stock cable and connect straight to the terminals where the battery connects and from what I remember there's no other way.

So with this there is no need for this then?

The link was dead but I'd think so. I never really needed the way I posted so I didn't realize how easy it was either. All they're saying is chop a USB on the device end and strip red and put it by the + terminal on your battery and black on -. The battery is holding the wires tightly in place. All you're doing is routing the power around a protection circuit it seems. I think someone made a YouTube video of it too. But if you aren't comfortable doing that definitely go the other route. In the end I'm an impatient electrical technician who needs my phone:-)

I was looking for the YouTube video and found this. It's for a razr but they're usually really similar so worth a try and don't have to do anything technical. I don't have time to try it right now.

I already tried that way to no avail. I'll just order the adapter. My wife will appreciate me not having aphone for a few days, she's not a huge fan of my love for technology

Can you guys give a run down of what works and what doesn't in the newest version? I'm still on cm 10.2. I've seen 3g is working and tethering is not. Anything else noteworthy? Bluetooth?
