I was still getting sleep of death on 8/20, so I switched back to 10.1
I'm ready to hop back at moments notice whenever stability and possibly 3g arrive

I just experienced the "sleep of death" on 8/20 as well. Battery pull and it was fine for the rest of the day. Gonna give the 8/21 a shot right now. CM10.2 is amazingly smooth on my poor old bionic though, and decently stable aside from the hiccup earlier today.

Hold on, I was just reading through a few older posts - am I reading correctly that there is no 3G data on 10.2?

Correct. 1xRT and EVDO are not working yet.

Anyone else having issues downloading the 8/21 nightly?
EOL Bionic running 4.3
I did too, but I tried again about an hour later and it worked fine.

Hmm this may be a dealbreaker, I get very crappy reception at work and often bounce around betw 4G, 3G, and even 1X ( )...

8/21 has been stable for me, but I haven't seen other benefits. (battery life is very similar to 10.1, speed same as 10.1)
I think they had to dial it back a bit for some stability. This happened with RC3 and RC 4 of 10.1

As a tip for those who are having problems with the CM10.2 builds I have noticed that the rom is very voltage sensitive. It will run flawlessly until about 10 percent battery life (about 3000mv) then, for me, weird things start to happen. Dialer fails with a warning, random reboots, can't open contacts and lag etc. Be sure to keep the battery above 10 percent or 3000mv to keep it stable. This is just my phone and my experience but it may help you if you're having problems. This is on my original stock battery that's over 2 years old. May be time for a new battery..... :-P

The minimum voltage for operation on this device is 3000mV sir. The only error here is that your phone hasn't powered off yet.

Hmm. My stock battery hardly got used. I might go back to that. But I'm pretty spoiled with the extended

I recently switched back to stock battery, and after the almost 2 years of use, my stock battery has about the same capacity as my extended

I can believe that. I'm going to put mine in this weekend and see how it does.

My extended started to get pretty bulgy. I'm guessing that would account for some of the loss of capacity.
Charge rate, number of cycles, discharge rate, and max operating temperature all factor into rate of capacity loss.
Coincidentally, all four of those things could also cause cells to bulge.
