This ROM is great once he gets these little wrinkles ironed out it will be the best ROM for a DD I think.  One thing I noticed was play service was using a lot of battery fresh reflash fixed it.  But now the android OS is using about 50% to 70% killing my battery.

I had the exact opposite thing happen. On 4.2.2, Android OS was always 50+% with data on or ~15% with data off.

On 4.3 Android OS is only 30% with data on and ~10% with data off :)

Well I just ordered a droid maxx from radio shack if you guys remember they started to sell Verizon phones in 2011 when the bionic came out.  Verizon had the bionic for 300 on contract radio shack had it for 199.00. Supposedly there was a big ta do about how low they were selling it and got in trouble.  Guess they didn't care they did it again the droid maxx is 199.00 with 2 year contract.  Thank God my wife doesn't use much data I just used her upgrade to keep unlimited.

so i've clean wiped and flashed about 4 times, and i'm still getting about 28-38% battery drain from google services.  any ideas?  i see other people are having this problem too so i know i'm not alone.  are we doing something wrong?  or is this(4.3/CM10.2) so new that there are kinks that need to get worked out?  because aside from that battery drain and random reboots (while streaming audio...present since 10.1...still there ugh...) this is definitely a dd.  but i may go back to 10.1.2 for the time being if there is no fix for this :/

WiFi is doing that to me too. Like it doesn't turn off, even though the toggle is in the off position

If you check in the wifi advanced settings, it's probably set to constantly search for wifi. It's a 'feature' of 4.3 that there has been some discussion about. It prevents you from actually turning wifi off. Supposedly it's supposed to help with location settings, but really all it does, as far as I can tell, is prevent you from turning wifi off.

Which gapps did you use? I had issues with the JB one but not from the 4.3 core one and then just restored most everything anyway. So far I've had a better go that way. I also have it on slot2 not that that should matter I don't think.

I'm on slot one. 4.3 8/13 gapps. I've wiped and flashed probably 6 times now...same result each time. 4.3 is super fast and I hate to give up on it but this is ridiculous

I do that too and I also double wipe which is probably not needed but also I don't usually have any of the weirder stuff so maybe there's something to it.

Now I'm seeing the Google services as well, currently at 43%. Hmmm. Beats screen time on at 1h 43m. Luckily I have extended battery.

I went back to avatar till they get this sorted out 4.3 is not enough of a change to deal with the battery drain.

Just loaded 10.1 last stable and so fast so good. Stock was acting wacky often enough that it's a toss up. But I just remembered something--I hadn't been putting stock to 1.0 for CPU and feel my phone doesn't like 1.2 - did it on 10.1 and phone settled down.
